Meu lutador favorito.
Astonishing...After koeing Filho at the end of the first round, Peter Aerts was ready to start the second round as nothing occured although a deep cut...before the referee decided to stop the fight. What a warrior.
Both are great fighters. But in this case, luckily, filho's basis are kyokushin which tempered all body parts especially shin, fist, and body, so it's tougher than normal human, but even so, peter are so clever in defence and attack tactics. If they were about to have the same toughness level of bodies, i wonder who'll win. Anyway, i love filho because he's the proud of Kyokushin, OSU!
Peter was not clever. His boxing was better and if he was smart he would've thrown punches only-he even dropped him with a punch. Kicks do nothing against a Kyokushin based fighter, you just damage your own leg
@@sorinionut220 "Kicks do nothing against a Kyokushin based fighter" So are you insinuating Andy Hug just mysteriously fell unconscious at the exact moment Peter's shin collided with the side of his head in 1998, and it was in no way because of the high kick he threw? Lol, come on, man. It doesn't matter what the guy's base is, Peter Aerts' kicks are plenty capable of ending the fight.
@@DouglasGomesBueno-jw9lh Didn't seem to be the case to me in both of his losses to Ernesto Hoost, especially the first fight where Hoost battered his lead leg with kicks.
He didnt broke his leg, he cut his shin. Fortunately, Peter never broke his leg, but had his share of cuts and minor injuries that lost him a couple of fights.
100% true. You can see in his face and behavior he is not an evil man. His personality + his education Kyokushin philosophy formed and kept him that way. He liked to fight but that to fulfill himself, not as a way to hurt others.
So what was billed as Karate Dream Team (Nicholas Pettas, Xhavit Bajrami, Sam Greco, Masaaki Satake, Glaube Feitosa, Musashi & Francisco Filho) vs. Kick Dream Team (Stefan Leko, Kirkwood Walker, Jerome Le Banner, Matt Skelton, Mike Bernado, Ernest Hoost & Peter Aerts), ended with the Kick team 5-1-1 and the loss due to a controversial stoppage? Pretty one-sided... would have been interesting to include Andy on the Katate team though.
@@parhamhayati8322 He's also a much smaller man going against a group of dudes who tower over him and have the benefit of several decades worth of refinement in their striking technique over him.
WGACA how? His shin was nearly broken, it had a giant cut on it. Aerts knew that mid-shin on shin contact was dangerous but he did it anyway. He knew that his leg was much weaker and Filho’s legs were big and tough.
Gran guerrero Peter Aerts , deberian dejarlo seguir la pelea xk subir tuviera ese corte en la pierna derecha podría pelear con los puños y patear con la izq
+Edsel 0201 If you and I punch or kick to Filho, our fist or leg will be broken by our own blow. Because he is a strongly-built man. His Hard training built up his body. It is his strong arm. So he can beat us without his blow. But not everyone have that arms.
+bakanapatapata Funny but, his "body toughness" never let him to win K1 or other famed titles. Kickboxing "Golden Age" was plenty of fighters tougher than him. Definitely!
Edsel 0201 He has been a champion of the world tournament of Kyokushin karate. I think it is one of the famed titles. So he can't be weak. At least he is very much stronger than you. I don't know about the kickboxing "Golden Age." Sorry.
True, not only jan plas with mejiro but also thom harinck with chakuriki, jon vos with vos gym, cor hemers with golden glory, kyokushin is foundament for Dutch muay thai and also original k-1 organisation has derived from kyokushin
Fihlio was ....overrated The same thing happened to Aerts in both their fights...maybe this guy did witchcraft or something.. Fihlio got knocked out cold by lebanner....and destroyed by bernardo. ...
there is a simple explanation: Kyokushin rules don't allow head punches. Anything else goes. No matter the style you're not gonna beat a top kyokushin fighter using kicks or body punches, the are near-immune to that. Only way is punches to the head. Bernardo and Lebanner are boxers and they KOed Filho with head punches. However Filho beats better fighters than Lebanner/Bernardo like Remy/Aerts/Hoost because they have a kicking-heavy style.
