During this holocaust, and perhaps not sadly, jews will not receive any quarter given they are the perpetrators of this holocaust in Gaza. The time is NOW to stop this israeli driven holocaust.

WOW, What WOW. What a smart and just man Peter Beinart is. I commend you for your courage and speaking out on the situation in the Middle East. I heard you many many times on CNN. We need more Jewish men and woman to speak out against the injustice done to the Palestinians. Thank you Peter.
1492, European colonialism: We discovered America. 1916, European colonialism: We are liberating the Holy land. The imaginary state of Israel, master of fairy tales, are European colonialism.
Thanks for expressing your support for a world where Palestinians and Jewish brothers and sisters can live peacefully as equal citizens of a state that doesn’t discriminate people based on their race or religion. We desperately need voices for peace to speak with clearity and unequivocally support equal rights for every citizen in our society.Toda raba, 🙏🏾 and wishing you all the success in spreading your knowledge.
@Shalom Shalom According to your fairy tale history, you have "deep historical ties". According to your DNA, you have 0 ties, "The skin cancer rate in Israel is among the highest in the world". The skin cancer rate in Israel is really high because Israel has a hot climate suitable for dark skinned people. The majority of people living in Israel are Europeans and do not belong in that part of the world, their genetics are not suited to living for prolonged periods in the Middle East.
That peace can only be when Israel is hold accountable for their crimes against Humanity and The destruction of Apartheid system. Palestine NEED to have their Justice. You can not heal a broken soul with words, you need to heal it with admit your own faults. Israel need to come clean and admit all they have done, which sadly the Zionist State of Israel never will, as long the world let them continue. Israel need to end their occupation and stop.
Well, Peter is a man afterall, he thinks fast and he attaches reason and logic to this thoughts just as fasst -- I give thee the man. Oh I know we haven't seen any around for decades, they're too busy on the couch watching a sporting event on T.V. waiting to see what wifey is going to bring em in to eat. He's reasonable, but my question is, IS HE REAL. BECAUSE THE JEWS ARE DUPLICIT IN MY VIEW.

Jewish people are generally well educated. It surprises me that the powers that be, cannot see that. (video). They can't have peace unless they accommodate these people.
When I hear people like this Jewish young man talk, my faith in humanity and my hopes for a better future are somehow restored. Pity that politicians muck everything up.
I remember attending a lecture that Peter Beinart gave at Brown University some years ago in which he identified himself as a Zionist. He spoke of the injustices imposed on the Palestinian people by Israeli policies and worried about shielding his young son from that knowledge. It is impossible to try to defend what Israel is doing to people trapped in Gaza.
Jewish people can't have a civil conversation about Israel, that should tell you a lot right there. When Jewish students are being doxed, blacklisted, suspended from prominent Jewish led universities just for sit ins for peace this country is being driven off track from the inside out. There are shame marquee trucks that Jews were using with doxed information to literally shame kids. My senator Reverend Raphael Warnock has received a million dollars in blood money from Zionist PACs for fealty, its the way our govt runs. Israel is a mafia organization, not a legitimate country.
All religions teach us to love-forgive- and look after our neighbours ...not to kill innocent...not to oppress people Unlike some nations and governments for greed they use religion as tools
I disagree! For thousands of years, religions have taught to hate and kill those who don't subscribe to one's beliefs. Billions of people have been killed in the name of religions and gods!!! Religions and gods were created by the ruling classes of societies to control the masses... which is why learning to read and write was punishable by death if one didn't come from the privileged, elite social classes!!!
Its not about a Jewish state or not. Its about to stand up for Humanity and Justice, which to stand up against Israel actually really is about. Love and Justice for Palestine.
But you have to get what means Jewish state (a big lie for starters) to understand what Israël is currently doing. It has got nothing to do with Yahvé. Read Shlomo Sand's books, he's teacher of history in the university of Tel-Aviv. This guy must have some enemies in his country. Like America's support to Israël has nothing to do with friendship.
@@ofdrumsandchords I remember reading one of his books many years ago: "The Invention of the Jewish people." It was indeed informative, but I was wondering what one influenced your thought here, I would be interested in reading it. Thank you for your enlightenment and it would require further thought so if you see this maybe you can recommed which one to read, he has written many books.
Brilliant video. So happy to see people are thinking, questioning and not following like sheep. Any marginalisation and separatism, regardless of who does this, opens the door to racism and injustice for all. #neverforget
As Dr. Gabor Mate says " you don't have to be pro-palestine, if you're Pro-truth you will fight for their rights " ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WdPdslOTwJU.html
I remember him discuss Palestinians right on CNN and with a republican supporter of Isreal gov and he shut him up. The fact that he is jew stops the usual accusation of antisemitism when he advocates for Palestinian rights.
Can you talk about how Instagram is now removing and permanently stopping accounts just for the simple reason of only posting pictures of the Palestinian flag? One Palestinian vlogger talked about how his Instagram account was stopped because he only posted a picture of the Palestinian flag.
@@abdulhaqq7559 I know, I mean didn't FB buy Instagram, so I am not shocked. But they must be exposed every single time they do this. I mean FB was and is still one of those main apps that is allowing islamophobes to spread lies about Muslims and other things. If I am not mistaken, it was fb that played a huge part in promoting the ethnic cleansing and hate in Myanmar against the Rohingya by allowing the criminals ruling that country to spread dangerous lies and never terminated their accounts--leading to more hate spread against the Rohingya. So, yeah, I am not shocked that they would do something like this when it has to do with Palestine, they have been doing it for decades, but more people are paying attention to it in today's world.
@@fbbinoire201 Of course no question. Google, I think, owns or has bought or is working with RU-vid, I am not sure, it is one of the things I have mentioned, and we have clearly seen what google has done when it comes to the displaying of the Palestinian map, so, I am not shocked at this point, but what do we do? We continue posting, supporting, subscribing, liking, recommending, and spreading anything we can about the Palestinian cause, as well as the Syrian cause, and the many other causes that RU-vid likes to not show or hide and shut down.
So beautifully articulated. As an older British Jew, it gives me hope that voices like Peter are starting to represent the mainstream opinion of younger American Jews. Here in the UK, the opinions of the Jewish community are still almost completely influenced by the 100% pro-Israel Jewish media and there are few signs of a movement amongst younger Jews to change that narrative. It is still perfectly normal here for Jewish voices that question Israel's suppression of their Palestinian population to be publicly attacked, insulted and bullied. One is regularly referred to as a 'Jew-hating Jew', 'Self-hating Jew' or the more commonly used and deeply anti-semitic term 'Kapo'. I hope that in time, British Jews start to see how the current Israeli narrative is actually creating an existential threat to all Jews of the disapora and that younger Jews emulate their American cousins and start to stand up against the injustices that are plain and evident to anyone who cares to look.
Hello, I’m sure you’re aware of Na’amod in the UK? The British story is similar to Australian Jewry, our media portray Zionism as speaking for all of us. Since I’ve met more like minded Jews , I realise there are more than I thought. 15 years ago there was one Pro Palestinian Jewish group, now there are three, in my state.
Excellent it's the only way you'll get peace he is absolutely correct if you give the right to people to express themselves nonviolent way they will progress towards peaceful solution. One man one vote irrespective of colour race religion, one state solution
UBUNTU - I am what I am because of what we all are. Exploring this is the (healing) path of reconciliation. This was heartening. I like this direction. At some point, we become aware that our needs include the needs of others. That our liberation is not complete if others are not also liberated; our happiness can not be true and fully complete if others are not also happy not to speak suffering as a direct consequence of our actions. This Boddhisattva ideal is a mark of maturation. All our fates are ultimately intertwined.
They should have lost their right to be a state long ago since they ignored international law. However I don't see that changing ever. Peaceful solutions aren't allowed to only military solutions can work.
It is truly sad that this is a naïve vision that can never be entertained as long as a plurality of Palestinians support Hamas. Palestinians need to get their political house in order, and yes, for that they need help and a state where they can exercise rights. But being part of a state or having a state doesn’t guarantee an embrace of liberal values, unfortunately. Peter is right, as a liberal, to support such an ideology, but he doesn’t seem to fully grasp what a hard sell this can be, in any country (including in the USA).
I came up during WW2 and after. Before Israel was a state, my parents wanted me to go to Israel. Our family came to the US from Palestine in 1900. We had been there for 100 years. I was told about the Jewish state and I could see right away that it was undemocratic to make a state with room for only one kind of person. Even with the Socialism they said it would be based on I, at 8 years old, knew it was wrong. I had to fight my family, some of whom have moved to Israel, but I want to live in a society that is multicultural, multi religious and accepting of all. We haven't yet got that here and I fear for the U.S. in the future as we move closer to theocracy. But Zionism isn't the only way to live. I was alive before Zionism and I hope to be here after.
I respect Peter Beinart's change of view vis-a-vis the the Jewish state of Israel. But Jews in Israel, as well as Jews abroad face not very promising or comforting prospects. The same goes for Palestinians. I am not Jewish, but the triumph of Israeli forces over Arab forces in the Six Day War was a moment I celebrated. Unfortunately, the status of the West Bank has in many ways paved the way for great animosity towards Israel, and Israel has been its own worst enemy in that regard. A "One State Solution", Jews and Palestinians living side in a single state will mean that Arabs will eventually outnumber Jews. This wouldn't necessarily be calamitous, but Jews have never been welcomed in whatever country they have found themselves in. They will forever be in a minority. Can Jews really feel safe, even here in America? I used to think so, but I have serious doubts. So where can they go to feel truly safe?! Israel has been that place. So this situation would seem to argue for a Two State solution. Unfortunately Israel's Right Wing and Palestine's Hamas and Islamic Jihad made a Two State solution unlikely any time soon. This is beyond sad; it's tragic, tragic for Jews and tragic for Palestinians.
@@johnprentice1527 It seems that if there is no apparent reason to feel threatened and yet there is always a looming sense of it, the root of the problem must be from within. History and current events seem to correlate this, even with examples such as President Obama's foreign advisor, Stuart Seldowitz or Henry Kissinger or Madeleine Albrite. I could probably list hundreds of examples. Quite simple, really. Occam's razor in play.
I continue to wonder…why have the Palestinians always refused statehood? Gaza has not been occupied since 2005…so where is the occupation? The West Bank? The West Bank was part of Israel, and…as an offer for peace, a portion was offered for residence and worship to the Palestinians. Palestinians are free to pass to holy lands and travel in Israel, with checkpoints. But that is in Israel. All governance was given to the Palestinian Authority, I believe in 1997. This was with the hope that Palestinians would develop their country. Palestinians provided 90% of their own water. With global donations and organizations like UNICEF..desalination plants were built. But, hamas dug up water pipes to refashion them into missiles. Everything that Peter says is without true consideration of the evil of Hamas. It has been repeated over and over. It’s not a land issue, but hatred for a people group. If there was no state of Israel, and no policing over their own state…they would be murdered. There is nothing that will bring peace..but cutting out the sore of hamas.
I am proud of you and my other Jewish brothers for speaking out. As a Persian we always beloved to defend the weak and powerless throughout the history, from Cyrus the great to this date. Thanks Hassan
Basic fact - all humans are equal and deserve equal rights. Only when we really grasp this concept then we can really have sensible discussions on Palestinians & Israelis. A life of a Palestinian should be viewed as equal to the life of an Israeli - not just cheap war fodder for political gain ! Grasp this concept with sincerity and there ar😆will be NO obstacles to peace ✌️😀
