And also if she was that way inclined she could just make an offer and then pull out later down the line on the grounds of due diligence. In fact, most professionals that I have come across in the UK or who I know of who lives in the UK are looking to leave the UK to come to America or go to Canada. It’s very rarely the other way around. I am very sorry to say this as I have as very special place in my heart for the place where I lived in the UK for over five years, but for me GB does not stand for Great Britain. GB stands for grandparents bungalow.

A heavier vehicle consumes more fuel during transport, so getting rid of cardboard, which would be heavier than their plastic bubble packaging, would make transport more efficient.

Amazon will not be interested in packaging that is twice the size of normal packaging. It would cause a logistics issue.

Hard plastic + bubble wrap or plastic foam etc is probably a lot more plastic than 2 soft layers of plastic. It might be able replace both outer shell package and the protecting soft layers with just this for some type of products. Also if it can reduce loss of products due to damages in transport and storage then emissions saved by producing less straight to the bin products is also a huge win. Depends on how it works out in practise though, but the potential is huge. They said -20% material, but for some products I could see this be -80% material if the packaging works for it.

Adding more plastic? Have you seen most modern packaging?

​@@GeoGuy388 exactly my point, this is the most modern, and it's still plastic! Companies are under pressure (rightly so) to use more environmentally friendly packaging, which this isn't! If it were made of something that would decompose within 6-12 months for example, then great.

But plastic bags have a low CO2 output compared to some alternatives since the versatile material uses extremely little material when made into thin bags compared to cloth, glass and metals, even when reused many times and plastic is used once. And the microplastics released can almost be eliminated comlpetely when 100% of the plastics are collected to be recycled and burned. Also the products that get a longer shelf life and less damages with the use of plastic packaging are good for the environment in comparison to many if the alternatives too. Here's a team that replaces most of the plastic material in a protective foam with just air, reducing plastic use. And your comment is just "Product bad, it's plastic". Make something better yourself then. What an overly simplistic reply with no analysis. I want to reduce plastics as well, but using 100% air as packaging is obviously worse in every way. And maybe this reduces plastics use enough that it becomes economically feasible to use biodegradable plastics for the double bubble?
