***** so men coming from nothing & using a skill to gain a following then making business models, merchandise, & companies for themselves to provide for themselves, their families & children & getting themselves out of bad situations & enviroments while at the same time providing a service of entertainment to millions of people who can't do what they can do doesn't make someone brilliant or intelligent by your standards?...please kindly shut the fuck up & go somewhere with that.
***** Truth. And furthermore, there is no correlation between the intelligence of someone and the genre of music they listen to. That's like some one saying, 'People who eat pizza aren't smart. If they were, they wouldn't like pizza.'
When people tell me Migos, Rich Homie Quan, Yung Thug, and Future suck I stop talking music with them because they aren't real hip hop nerds. They are the dumb ass kids that still talk about the Control verse from Kendrick claiming that it changed Hip-Hop even though nothing but garbage irrelevant artists responded. They don't understand that Hip-Hop is more than just the message. It is the wordplay, inflection, the flow, the production, the way a verse is constructed to the beat, and the culture surrounding that particular artist. Even if you don't care for an artist such as Migos you should at least be able to take a step back and respect it. Obviously music is a form of art so you are entitled to your opinion but anyone who truly KNOWS about Hip-Hop can take a step back and say "I don't like this song, but I see what they are doing and this is talent". I don't care for "Les Demoiselles d’Avignon" but I do recognize that Pablo Picasso was an amazing artist. & before anyone tries commenting saying it isn't talent then please upload a video of you trying to make a song similar to theirs and we will see if it blows up... -_-
Takeoff should be an independent artist. He has to much energy that everybody around him feeds off his vibe. In return they become great off of him and he gets left out of something that wouldn’t be if not for him.
Padre-D Productions nah u can’t have that much mics cause then u need a new system with even more cables with the right cables that are compatible it’s really a lot of work
I feel like this interview was hella disrespectful and stupid tbh. Like Ebro was mad disrespectful. Rosenberg called them little kids when they making more bread then them
Quavo "It's different, it's how you ride the beat now. In Atlanta you can have a hit just from riding the beat" Well, that proves it. Southern Hip-Hop is 80% beat and 20% lyrics, at least they admitted it though.
N Xmilar They are the leading new rappers in Southern Hip-Hop. And I hate to generalize all Southern Hip-Hop because there are great new rappers out there, but just not in ATL anymore. Sorry, I just had to say it. You had good rappers like T.I., Lil Jon, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Outkast, Goodie Mob, and Ciara back then. Now you only have Future, Trinidad James, Migos, Young Thug, K Camp, Que, 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka, and Gucci Mane. That's almost every wack rapper out now just from ATL alone besides Juicy J and Lil Wayne. How is that not 80% my friend? The only 3 Southern rappers that chose to stand out are not even from ATL. J.Cole, Big K.R.I.T, and Jay Electronica and they are very good rappers.
Cappo Logan Then, you are like me except I don't listen to any new artist from ATL. I've just lost faith in all of their new rappers. But, who said it was a bad or good thing? Everybody's opinion is different so why all of the hate? "If you're a fan of hip hop, you consume more than just one variation of it" Wow, that's a bold statement. Are you saying we can't chose to not listen to something or do we have to listen every single rapper on the radio? Because I got friends that only listens to Trap/Gangsta Hip-Hop, I got friends that only listens to Conscious/Classic Hip-Hop, and none listens to both. There are very few listeners like me and you that can listen to every bit of Hip-Hop and differentiate the meaningful songs from the plain simple party anthems. I like the song "Show Out" by Juicy J but I know he's a wack ass artist. And I think that's the main problems with listeners, they're scared to admit that they listen to some lame/wack music sometimes, they want every artist they listen to considered a great musician. And that's far from the truth. You said you listen to "Drill" music like I do, but be honest you know that whole subgenre is 80% lifestyle and 20% lyrics, it's all about the rawness of it right? How you can trust if a rapper says he's bout that life or not lol
Cappo Logan I'm sorry homie, it just is unfortunately. You can't even name 10 new rappers from the South that are lyrical right now. Go ahead, I dare you. Just name 10, if that's not possible then Southern Hip-Hop is 80% beat and 20% lyrics no arguments. I'll even help you. J.Cole, Big K.R.I.T, and Jay Electronica now you only have 7 spots to fill lol
Cappo Logan Alright then, Stat Quo is an old rapper. Curren$y been rapping since 2009 far from new. Trae the Truth is the truth but he's old too, Young Roddy isn't lyrical he's an alright rapper though, Oddisee is old. 9th wonder is old. We're talking new rappers here 2012-present let's get it! I'll accept Pill because his songs are meaningful, Don Trip too. So that's 5 down and 5 more to go my friend. Come on now I helped you out lol
I like Ebro and Rosenberg and find them entertaining, but they need to do more research before they interview artists they don't know about. Spend 30 minutes on Wikipedia and another 30 on RU-vid listening to music. Been many instances lately where they don't seem to know shit about the people they're talking to.
People need to stop arguing over who's the best. Not everyone is the same, we all have our own opinion on things. So therefore in my opinion I really like Migos, especially take off. Their music is something different, the way their rap flows, its quite catchy and lyrical. They're always exerting themselves in every song.
