adrowsell agreed. I hate these horizontal menu screens that look worse, and are slower. They're worse in every way possible. Also I hate the way u have to click left trigger right trigger in the menus of franchise mode to change teams. It's slower and so clunky
00petrified001 The new menus are worse in every way imaginable. They look way uglier to me, they're slower, they're more awkward to use, they just suck compared to the older ones. I think the reason they changed them was an attempt to make them look more "modern", but I'd say they failed at that too because I think the older ones look much more modern and sleek. I don't know why they feel like changing things just for the sake of changing things.
+adrowsell because the majority of the people won't stop playing the game because of a change to the UI, and the small percentage of others will get brainwashed into thinking EA is putting time, effort and care into their games, which replaces and adds to the amount of people who stopped playing (along with young kids who are just getting into hockey). people need to seriously boycott the game. EA will either put effort into the game, or just remain the way the are (with a hell of a lot less sales), opening up a bigger market share for devs who want to make a hockey game but are scared because they don't have a license for the NHL or the NHLPA. although, i'd like them to be better than "old time hockey".
My favorite player of all time! The player that made me fell in love with the game and with the Avs. I remember like it was yesterday, me sneaking out of my room in the middle of night to watch this man play. Btw I'm from Portugal so it was really in the middle of the night
Being 6 when the avs became a thing, he was always my hero. We'd fight to see who got to be Pete during street games as kids. He's still the best, maybe second best, thing to happen to Colorado hockey.
Rob Blake was still playing with the Kings in 98 lol he didn't join the Avalanche until late in the 2000-2001 season when they won their second Stanley Cup.
We were robbed of what Forsberg could have done. He was incredible he may have been one of the all time greats if he could have stayed healthy. But he was as physical as he was skilled and that may have ultimately cost him so many games.
In nhl 08 for pc forsberg was only an 88. I don't know if the console mattered back then. I know in the 90s it did. Sega and SNES had different ratings, so maybe that was the case still in 08
what happend to this series? it was awesome! tho i would like you to remind ppl that for some games the highest rated player in nhl was for example 100 or 95 etc. in nhl 2000 for example, the highest rating was 100 for the nhl players. (jagr, selenne and kariya) nhl 2005 it was 95 (no nhl player was better then 95) (forsberg, iginla, st.louis)
Of course you would call Sundin the "Greatest Swedish Born Forward of All-Time". The rest of us non-Leafs fans know that honour goes to Foppa without question. Guy was a fucking beast EVERYWHERE. He was one of the first Sweds to play as a powerforward playmaker. Sundin is great, Foppa is a fucking legend.
The unlucky thing is Peter forsbergs play style to kinda power through getting hacked and the NHL in being in an era where the refs let defense man hack away at talented players is what led to all the injuries preventing him from maybe being a top 3 playmaker of all time
Avs won in 96, not 97. Also, you said Forsberg and a bunch of assets went to Philly for Lindros. Forsberg went to Quebec in that trade. Philly drafted him.
