Peter - Congratulations on the announcement that you will be Inducted as a member of the prestigious "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" in October ! I was in the audience back on 14 June 1975 at Winterland with my then girlfriend (I am almost exactly 2 years older than you as my 76th birthday was a couple of days ago), and because Bill Graham announced before you and your band hit the stage that the concert would "be recorded for a live album", we in the audience were sure to applause, scream and whistle as loud as we all could. When the "Frampton Comes Alive!" double album hit the record stores I purchased it and - I didn't even look at the track listing inside in my haste to listen to it as soon as I returned home. What I heard was "total recall" for me, so I knew the 14 June concert at Winterland was on the vinyl disc, much to me and my GF's delight = we were bragging to our friends later: "We were there in the audience screaming and clapping during this song... and the song after!", etc.. Many years passed, I moved from San Francisco to Santa Monica (Southern California) and then I saw you again at the Orange County Fair in Pomona several years ago. There I was sitting amongst fellow fans of yours, but there were also younger folks that just wanted to see the live concert that night, I believe. The highlight was that since it was an "open air concert", half way through your concert 100's more people (about our age) started rushing in... in a short time it was SRO in the stands = they probably heard some familiar songs from radio during the late 70s wafting in the wind from the speakers, and purchased tickets to see you perform. Peter - I want to wish you a very Happy !%th Birthday, and thank you for never giving up "doing what you do" !
@@DonVideoGuy007 Wikipedia isn't accurate. Their information changes. That's where I got that from, if I recall correctly. However, regardless of that, it's good that Peter Frampton has been inducted into the RRHOF. Cheers! ✌️
Peter, I am balling my eyes out right now! I suffer with autoimmune diseases. I know your situation. Prayers & LOVE to YOU & the beautiful children & grandchildren. Born in 1961...I Want You to show US the LOVE & the WAY! Thank You So Much for this...Loved th Rick Beato interview! Somehow it's maybe not "A Pity" RIP George
drove 200 miles every night to see you and Steve Marriott at the Fillmore.. Humble Pie was just awesome one of a kind. you guys rocked hard. now at 71 Yea thoses were the good ole days. Blessing to you Peter.. Steve Marriot God rest your soul. you brought great happiness and joy to so many. Rock on Frampton!!
Ever notice how great musicians never seem depressed or angry at the world? They have the best sense of reality & write the most beautiful music. They seem genuinely happy in their lives. Lucky them!
This guy has become so much more to me than he ever was with Humble Pie or his solo gigantic stardom. He plays better, and has become quite a leader in his ways. I love his music and him more than ever! Thanks Mr. Frampton.
I agree. I used to play the hits off Frampton Comes Alive! but they didn't thrill me. More for my friends. The man has gotten to play with Giants, and he deserved to.
His human self. We've watched the man grow and get through life, as we have. I feel I've known him as someone who traveled my path. Maybe only me, but I'm happy in that circle.
No music that I own has brightened my day and soul more than Peter Frampton's. Sure, I love Canned Heat, Marillion, Fish, Pat Metheny, Steve Morse, Rush, VH, The Cars, April Wine and Toto but Peter's work in total has captivated my entire being since this punky kid of 10 in 1976 first heard "Frampton Comes Alive" on my uncle's beloved Technics turntable. Thank you Mr Frampton and please come back to the Lehigh Valley for Musikfest just to visit(no guitar needed) so we can give you hugs, kisses and buy you a brewski.
Peter Frampton.. the guitarist's greatest treasure and his moving tribute to old mate George. Just wonderful we still have you play for us and enjoy life!
Saw you all the way back in 1981, I regret not getting to another one of your concerts, but when you're young you think you have all the time in the world. What I wish I could have told the me from 40 years ago. Stay safe, be happy, and thank you.
I remember decades ago seeing Rod Stewart play at what was then called the Boston Garden. Frampton was the opening act. No one knew who he was but he just absolutely blew the place away.
Mr. Frampton, your music has brought me through some tough times. First as a young 16 year old in the mid-1970's and today as a 62 year old. Thanks for all the positive memories and never stop rocking!
Peter Frampton's home is in Nashville Tennessee. He became an American citizen after 9-11-2001. That's freaking awesome, not to mention he's one of the best guitarists and all-round musicians.. I got to see him live a few times I am so glad.
REALMENTE MARAVILLOSO!!! MIS HERMOSOS TIEMPOS DE JUVENTUD. YA NO VUELVEN MAS. NO...YA NO VUELVEN. ÉPOCA MARAVILLOSA QUE NO VOLVERÁ. CUANTAS NOSTALGIAS A MIS 67 AÑOS. UN HERMOSO RECUERDO. YA NO HAY COMO AQUELLOS MARAVILLOSOS TIEMPO.
One of the sweetest and most melancholy melodies of all time, and gets much better with Peter's touch. We're so lucky to have so many wonderful artists like George and Peter, share their incredible talents with us, to make our lives so much fuller. God Bless them both.
Love you much Mr Frampton brother it's never over it's only the beginning its Life after Life never give up on what you Love and be Loved even more all will be great no matter what brother anyway you are Loved
@@georgefelix654 Hi George! Well I have been a fan of Peter since the 70's. Here is a live version from the concert for George with some people you might know... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GdcSGxXJ8vM.html
It seems like it was yesterday my friends and I were in junior highschool jamming out to Frampton comes alive or Fleetwood macs rumours or Boston or how 'bout Genesis Seconds out and then there were three! And that's just to name a few! What a time for great bands great music...time she do really fly by...isn't it a pity...
Beautiful George Harrison song. Peter's wonderful rendition did it justice. Great tone on that Les Paul. I'm for sure going to get his "Frampton Forgets The Words" album as soon as it is available. I'd love for Peter to do an album with Larry Carlton.
I'm 36 and Frampton is one of my favorites. He will go down in history as one of the greatest musicians to ever live. Watching him play "I'll Give You Money" live with my father changed the entire direction of my musical tastes.
I was 17 and saw Peter at the Palace Theater in Albany NY. We sat in the last row in the belcony.Great concert. Months after that he started to take off. Where did the time go. He played on Harrison All things must pass album. If Clapton didn't show to play leed,Peter was plan B.

We saw you in Michigan, in the Early 1990s in Grand Rapids Michigan at a small venue, Club Eastbrook. Then again years later INTERLOCHEN and finally in Detroit, it was bittersweet knowing it was the Last Tour. Your concerts are woven into our 30 years of love and marriage. THANKS for the gift of your music, always in our hearts Peter 💞

Aw. That’s cute. Isn’t it a pity? Isn’t it a shame? How we break each others’ hearts. And cause each other pain. Like the affair I had with Ringo’s wife. And the way I offered Patti to Eric Clapton? So I could screw Patti’s younger sister? Isn’t it a pity? How I snort tons of cocaine. But still pretend I’m holy. How my albums suck so bad. The record label drops me. How I think my fans are sh*tty. Isn’t it a pity?
@@livy1962 I was crying on the inside but laughing so hard when I wrote my ode to Isnt It A Pity that I shed tears. ha ha George was such a hypocrite. But, I like Taxman and Savoy Truffle and Something and a couple others I think.
