Peter Freestone - The 24th November 

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened!“ That’s easier said than done, but I try to remember that Freddie is with us - he’s in the rain, the wind, the sun, every song we sing, every time we say his name he’s with us. He is eternal! 💛💛💛

Bittersweet day as Americans celebrate Thanksgiving today. I'm thankful for Freddie and all the music he left us to enjoy. Also thankful for Peter and his stories about Freddie. Helps us get to know him as a person not just the singer.

Though this is a very sad day, let's remember Freddie in his prime. He wanted us to be happy. I'm thankful for having been able to see him live and for all his legacy. I will love you till the end of time!❤

Thank God I had the privilege of living in the same lifetime as Freddie Mercury. RIP, my dear sweet friend. ❤💜❤💜❤💜❤

I also need to tell you that I was a young teen as QUEEN first ascended the charts with Bohemian Rhapsody. I indoctrinated my oldest set of kids who were born during Freddie’s lifetime. Then I was blessed with two sons in 2002 and 2005. They too know every QUEEN track by heart. When they were 4 and 6 yrs old my husband came in the house and told me our boys were in the driveway with white undershirts on. Had drawn mustaches on their faces and fashioned pretend microphones. They were preforming QUEEN songs for all who drove down our street. I exclaimed “THATS MY BOYS” ! Freddie FOREVER !! ❤️❤️

Thank you, Peter, for your kind words and memories. I played Queen Songs on my Piano the hole day and sang along. And in my mind I could see Freddie proud and amused, that 31 years after his passing MILLIONS of people still celebrate him on this day and keep him alive. At afternoon there was a perfect Rainbow all over the sky… Thank you, Freddie for all. 🌈🎵👑❤️

This is an extremely sad day,yet as I watch videos of Freddie I feel that he is with me.

Čím viac študujem Freddieho hudbu, čítam knihy o jeho živote, tým viac som presvedčená, že Freddieho život, jeho nálady, temperament, zážitky, schopnosť pozorovať ľudí okolo seba, sa pretavili do neskutočne reálnej, citlivej hudby, ktorá aj dnes po odchode Freddieho vyvoláva zimomriavky. Jeho hudba je ozaj geniálna, nie je jednotvárna, ale sa menila tak, ako sa menil jeho život a život ľudí okolo neho. A rovnako sa zdokonaľoval aj Freddieho hlasový prejav, ktorý bol pozoruhodný a neustále sa zlepšoval. Bol to génius, ktorý po sebe zanechal hudbu, z ktorej cítiť radosť, šťastie, emócie, lásku, chuť a silu žiť život do poslednej sekundy. Prajem požehnané Vianočné sviatky zo Slovenska.

When I look over my monitor I see the statue of Freddie, when I play the piano I see Freddie in a painting above the piano, when I live I see Freddie because that's the name I gave my son. He is all around me warming my heart. 🥰

As sad as his passing was and still is, he is still with us. He has to be looking down from Heaven with a big smile knowing he's still loved, missed and his music is loved by millions around the globe. We love you Freddie, and we miss you.

Thank you Phoebe for keeping Freddies spirit alive on his anniversary. I thought of Freddie today (I do most days) but today I thought and spent a bit more time listening to his music in the car whilst driving and thinking of the amazing life he had and the amazing songs he has written. 2 of my favourites today was Barcelona & Innuendo , I did shed a tear and also get even more upset thinking why did he have to die so young. I do secretly wish that I could step back in time and somehow be invited into his home for one of his amazing parties , the atmosphere must have been magical, just laughing, joking, singing, drinking , just seems so warm. We love Freddie, I personally listen to him everyday as I work, he brings a smile and such joy tinny life. I get up I say my prayers and I listen to Exercise in Free Love every morning it starts my day with a smile. We love you darling, we miss you but God wanted you home. 1946-Forever ! 🌹❤️

I was 3 years old with Freddie Mercury passed away on November 24, 1991

I miss Freddie more today than ever... I was privileged to have seen Queen twice with Freddie, even though it was so many years ago. It seems like yesterday... I lost many loving dear friends to AIDS in the 80's & 90's, I still remember & honor them even today. They can NEVER take away our memories! Thanks Peter for the beautiful tribute to your Dear Friend! You brought tears to my eyes.

Freddie will always be missed but NEVER forgotten and forever loved ❤️💔💔 I think of Freddie every day but 24/11 is always difficult because he was taken much too soon. Freddie will always be the true love of my life ❤️💔💔

My Melancholy Blues is a song that has always made me smile, it is very tongue-in-cheek and when hearing it, I picture an old movie star like Marlene Dietrich in a Berlin café talking to the clients about her miserable love life in an hilarious, overplayed melodramatic way. I love that song very much and listen to it often. I also find it very relaxing to sing. Thank you for this video, Peter, it's an important message to pass on (not to let the unhappy events of today's world prevent us from enjoying life anyway) 🕊

Dear Mr freeman thank you so so much for your words, on the 24 th my dad was laid to rest and as I am a life long fan I asked my dearest freddie to help me cope with the loss and thanked him that he reserved that day to welcome my father... and on that day I felt freddie helping me...I since 1991 burn a candle for him every day... it's a huge one so now they share this candle...I am so sure freddie helped me and my dad... out of all days in a year he chose that date for me to show me he is just there always... thank you again sir🫠

Well another year without Freddie. We just celebrated Freddie's birth, and November 24th we celebrate his extraordinary life. Freddie's life was short, but amazing. He left us with all the fantastic music and memories of his sweetness, humor, his generous heart, tenacity and bravery. He left a big footprint on earth and no one can ever fill those shoes.
