In this lesson we are looking at Peter Green’s intro solo to one of the great blues standards, Someday After A While.
Recorded during his time with the Bluesbreakers, this was a stand-out track on the album, A Hard Road.
I hope you enjoy the video and find it useful.
Cheers for now.

Great choice! Several years ago, i had difficulty finding the original Freddy King version of this song. But whule phenominal on its own, Mr Green's interpretation is IMO a more intense version. Much Thanks for this lesson.

Thanks JD. I love listening to all the different versions, but this one does have so much power, the intensity of PG's playing.

Awesome lesson. Would you consider covering "Jumping At Shadows" from the Live in Boston album, "Drifting", and also "Love That Burns"??🙏

Love Peter's playing on Hard Road, funny how his style melowed and went all reverbly when he formed Fleetwood Mac ? . His playing with The Bluesbreakers was very aggresive and fiery. P.s Didn't he look funny with short hair ? Long and curly suited Peter imo. 👍🎸

Fantastic selection of Peter Green doing it like only he could do. Thank you for another great lesson. What string gauges do you use? I’m guessing.008 or .009 based on your pitch-perfect bends.
@mybluesguitar
@mybluesguitar 2 года назад
Thanks jts. I use a regular .009 set that runs 9, 11, 16, 24, 32, 42.

Really nice, thank you. You have very nice, controlled vibrato, and I my guess is similar to jts3339 that you use .009s?
@mybluesguitar
@mybluesguitar 2 года назад
You are spot-on correct, Hiwatt! It's a .009 set.
