Thank you soooo much for this song! I lost my wife last week after a 2.5 year battle with cancer. I‘m now left raising five kids by myself. I miss her every single day and this song expresses exactly what I feel.
Okay I grew up with Elvis. I saw him live in 1977(yes I am an old lady). I had never heard anyone do it better, till now. I got chills. Thank you so much.
Thank you! My 10-month-old was very restless and it was a struggle getting her to calm down. I played this and she settled down. I was able to take over and sing a couple of my standard lullabies (Love Me Tender, Over the Rainbow) and she went to sleep. I don't have the range for this song.
Oh Peter...that was the most heartfelt rendition I have heard. Please do more like it. I love you and your sweet wife's voices. Have either of you thought of an album of lullabies?
@@TelsMaviston it is interesting that the Righteous Brothers 1965 version is the most well known, which, as you said, is a cover of the Todd Duncan original, written by Alex North and Zy Zaret for the 1955 prison film, Unchained.
Boy! That was great. I remember when this song when it came out in the sixties. You did it. You took me there! Thank you. God has given you a gift. Awesome.
When I was a teenager, I had a cassette tape of the Righteous Brothers top hits. I would listen to on my Walkman every night before going to bed. This is one song that I learned word for word, and sung to my wife on our honeymoon in our hotel room. I love the scenery in your video, especially the waterfall. I always think of waterfalls when I hear this song.
Peter, Don't ever worry you Can't SING ANY SONG beautifully. This is one of my favorite songs and you sang it beautifully!! I can listen to you sing it over and over again!! Thank you!
I'm old enough to have listened to the Righteous Brothers version of this on the radio, and in my opinion, you did it at least as well, and quite possibly better. Gave me all the feels!
I thought no one could ever come close to Bobby (Righteous Brothers) but man oh man.... this is definitely number 2 for me!!!!!!!!!! I love it and almost cried listening to it. 💜💙
I was playing it on my piano when I received the notification. coincidence ? I don't think so ! 🤣 Tomorrow, I'm gonna watch Elvis at the cinema, hope it's gonna be awesome!
I love it. Couldn't stop myself from singing along. Now everyone at work must think that I am a weirdo. 😅 Well I am when it comes to music that I enjoy.😂 and I really enjoy your music.
