Peter King always got that interview that other NFL Columnist couldn't get. Total pro! That's why he was able to retire on his own terms and not forced out like his "old school" comrades in the last 10 years. Congrats Peter King! From all of us.

I hope we see him still. I’ve watched him on his podcast and PFT live. I’ve always enjoyed what he had to say, all the clips of him at training camp, and talking with coaches,players, Authors etc. seems like a wonderful human being. Congratulations on a wonderful career.

Peter King will be missed, maybe the last of the old-school sports journalists. I started reading you with the dawn on the internet (+20 years). You and Dr.Z were must reads back in the day. Amazing how much you shared over the years; hearing about your kids and even your dog made your articles special. Enjoy the best retirement!

@Rew123 But by that criteria no journalist should ever write on that game from an analysis standpoint. But my point is that King never really did that and certainly never put himself forward as a Xs and Os analyst. By those criteria not a single poster on here should be analysing the game in that sense.

I read Peter King's Monday Morning articles for decades I have to admit he has a strong moral compass. There were many times Peter was put to the test and he passed every single time. He said the firing of Gruden stunk to high heaven. He quietly rebuked Drew Rosenhaus when Drew bragged he was the face of the NFL. Shortly before Peter retired he made a video about how we should make sure our friends and family are in good shape, make sure to check on them and ask them how they're doing. There are many examples of Peter King being a stand up guy with integrity. Very rare in today's world I wish Peter the best.

I remember first seeing Peter King when he did some segments for Inside the NFL (back when it was a great show, with Len and Nick). His enthusiasm for the game was apparent then. I’ve enjoyed his takes (for the most part) over these forty years.

Peter King has always been a larger than life character in my life. I can remember being a young kid back in the 80's growing up in southern Ohio and reading his sports columns in the Cincinnati Enquirer. I was naive and placed players from the Reds and Bengals on a pedestal and I was just so in awe that he got to talk to those guys on a daily basis. Enjoy your retirement, it's well earned.

My first memory of Peter King: his prediction in 1992 Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year. After it came true I thought wow this guy's pretty good!
