A SHORT INTERVIEW WITH BELFAST FANCIER PETER MARTIN ABOUT WRIGHT BRO’S DONCASTER ENGLAND
I haven’t been to well of later and I’m in for day surgery on Monday again and I had been talking to Peter on the phone and to say he was ranting and raving about these birds he brought in from Wright Bro’s Doncaster would be an understatement and after seeing them and handling a few of them myself today it’s not hard to see what Peter was on about I have to confess I didn’t know a lot about Wright Bro’s but Peter and Joby have done very well with their birds and Belfast fancier Jackie Mc Elaine has done really really well with his Wright Bro’s birds winning the Belfast Gold Ring and I think he also won the Skib Derby that year before he took a break so these birds have more than proved themselves
I was going to edit the start of this interview but thought NO people wouldn’t believe me some men my relate to this and I thought it was only me BUT NOT NOW DO I THINK THAT we arrived at Peters his Mrs let us in
Go on thru he’s out back at the birds would you like tea
Franko pipes up 2 sugar and milk please (Franko loves his tea)
So out back Peter like the last time was in scraping the lofts and there was me thinking to myself that Joby boy must be another Joe Ward AFRAID OF THAT THING WE CALL A SCRAPER
I’ll be with you in a minute lads
No rush chara we will have a look about
So Peter finished and we went in for a cuppa sitting having a yarn I finished and was setting up the camera and tripod Peters Mrs put her head around the door
GET YOU UPSTAIRD AND GET WASHED AND CHANGED BEFORE YOU DO THAT VIDEO
me personally I have 4 or 5 black t shirts they all look the same and when I take one of at night its put in the wash basket Roberta washes it and puts it back in the work cupboard (that’s what I call my loft clothes) and puts it on the top and next day I just lift what’s on the top and put in on and Roberta would maybe say
Could you run me to the shop?
No problem
Go and get that t shirt changed off you were wearing that yesterday
That’s clean on this morning
LET ME SMELL IT (and comes over and smells it)
AND MY PROBLEM I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS THAT DO THE SAME
I THINK THEY ALL FORGET IM THE FATHER ha-ha
