Never seen anyone on stage work harder and always smiling and laughing as Frampton. He gives it all everytime. He should be in the hall of fame. He alone made live albums a thing.
He’s so charismatic, charming, and witty as hell - & it comes right through his music. The Oakland Coliseum July 77’ concert is one of my favorites - there’s a part in Do you feel where’s he’s playing the drums, and it’s some of the most beautiful footage of him I’ve ever seen. What amazes me is that he seems so young - I mean, young young. He’s got the wistfulness of a child, the smile & the purest delight that only children seem to have. It’s all there in him, it just radiates from him, & to me it’s so moving. It’s also so poignant because it’s that precious moment in time when you’re young and luminous & feel omnipotent and you’re just soaring.
Yup. First saw him at Rock Super Bowl III in Orlando 1977 and his farewell tour at the Coral Sky Amphitheater in WPB 2019. Plus at least 20 times in between. Always a fantastic show.
what a nice father..daughter connection..true respect and love is apparent..the music was eclectic and Mia was a genuine surprise..and Peter is a class act..and has aged very well..looks healthy and happy...got a good vibe from watching this..thank you to one cell for this video...
When I come across his videos on RU-vid I always think the same thing.........Seems like a great guy that is aging well and has kept a smile on his face.
I got to open for PF at a big festival in Canada. The first note he hit on the talk box drove the crowd INSANE. Seriously, the applause was deafening. A great show.
and she seems like a well balanced kid, despite having a "superstar" dad..most kids of big celebritys are spoiled-rotten drug addicts from hell.....kudos to his raising her properly...
Loved the little awkward silence when she says "Jimi Hendrix.. who else better to learn lead guitar from". haha So awesome. Great Dad! Great daughter! A good day out. Thx for sharing.
Been a fan of Peter's since I was 17. I'm 62 now and still love this man. Not just his awesome guitar skills but he's down to earth, humble and seems like good people. God bless you, Peter and prayers to you and your family in your fight with IBM.❤
Note to the daughter of Peter !!! Learn Soloing from your Dad !! He is the best one that you'll ever see ....melodic and iconic and uses Penta, Harmonic minors and Modal all in one Solo !! YOUR DAD IS A GENIUS FROM ANOTHER EARTH GIRL !!!
+rodentcafeteria He's easily one of the greatest guitarist of all time, not of just rock, but of several genres! In his early Humble Pie days, he was playing early metal and hard rock! Humble Pie was a Zeppenlish type jam band! Frampton can play jazz, smooth jazz, gypsy jazz, country, hard and heavy blues, hard rock, metal, he can do it all! Great tone comes from his guitar! I remember when Frampton Comes Alive came out, there was no rock star bigger on the planet than him. Still have the original vinyl from 1976! Love Peter Frampton! The dude is a legend!
+rodentcafeteria Agreed! And this from a guy who didn't really get into Frampton's solo stuff (as capable as the stuff is/was). But that noisy, wall-of-sound, two-guitar barrage he had going with Steve Marriott in Humble Pie was LETHAL!
Peter Frampton, incredibly nice guy. He is such a brilliant guitarist, I wonder if he cringes when he hears tracks from "Frampton Comes Alive". His work with Humble Pie is ridiculously good, and as a guitarist (as already mentioned) he is truly up there with the greatest, yet....Frampton Comes Alive, YIKES!
Imagine being his kid and watching all the incredible concert footage of him in the 70s - I’m thinking of the Oakland Coliseum live concert in July 1977, specifically his performance of Do you feel. It must be utterly surreal. One of the greatest performances, songs (and guitarists) ever. Picture that’s your dad up there. Damn.
Nobody can top Peter's melodic solos on Frampton Comes Alive. Lines on my Face solos are a personal favorite of mine along with I'll give you Money and Do You Feel Like We Do, of course. The Album, 8track, Cassette, Cd and MP3 ..I wore 'em all out.
Funny! & since he maybe (?) knew Jimi back in the Humble Pie days it's sweet his daughter picked that vinyl.. also cool picks of course Radiohead - a true musicians' fan band
Oh man I love the movie tender mercies! And Peter Frampton also.. Peter is one of those that just has to much talent.. amazing performer and just a complete good person..
Definitely ! and she wants to buy a Jimi hendrix album to help her learn guitar solo's --when she has Peter Frampton as her dad??!!! wtf?! girl wake-up...
One of the first records I ever bought as a kid with my newspaper route money in Westchester NY circa '74 maybe. Frampton Comes Alive! Great to see Peter and daughter perusing the stacks! Nice blues picks too!
I love Peter, he is an amazing song writer and performer. Just one correction from a Brazilian musician : Jobim does not play guitar on this album It is Joao Gilberto who does.
I imagine being Peter Frampton would be pretty awesome. I mean - 'that' album for a kick off !!?? Sold in the gazillions. Nice to hear a shout out for the Late, Great Jimi Hendrix too.
I love Pete and his pretty daughter but ( YES I'M OLD) I feel that 99% of the music I've heard since 1990 has been just reconstitued versions of stuff that came out pre 1990 but a fractoin as good. But I think they are a cute Dad and Daughter combo. I just think most of the music today stinks. At least what I"ve heard. I think there IS good music out there. Its just impossible to find.
Never seen Peter with any of his kids except his son that he plays with. I have to join in with the rest of the crew on here and say what a NICE dad and daughter moment. Am going to see him on his final tour in another month. My beautiful and loving wife bought me a meet and greet with Frampton and I get one of his "Phenix" remakes signed as well. Looking forward to that, but this is just another confirmation that he's genuinely a nice guy.
The best recording Peter ever did was that Live recording at that radio station in San Francisco (I think KSAN). The GOLD standard. Nothing will ever top it, pro all the way.
She pretty like her mother and all that clean living has paid off for Peter he looks great he is truly a tribute to the music world and a treasure for us all thank you Peter Frampton it's artice like you that makes the world a better place for all of us .
Haha Frampton's daughter says, "Who better to learn from than Hendrix?" Mia, it's a matter of taste, and I could be shot for expressing this, but I like your Dad's playing better - very clear, melodic, kind of jazzy and these cool rhythmic riffs. I'm figuring out Frampton Forgets the Words note by note right now - the old-fashioned way, no tablature, just "What was that? Rewind that." Frampton is a guitarist's guitarist.
he was my first concert i ever went to at cobo arena in Detroit when I was 16 sitting near the top of tier c and I could've died and gone to heaven when he pointed at me to show him the way
Aimee Love He was my first Rock concert also, my brother took me to see him at Long Beach Arena I think i was 13, the community joint was being passed around I hit off it and slept through most of the show but he was Amazing.
He seems so nice and seems like such a great father. SHE is a super-talented little actress. Her scene in Bridesmaids was fantastic - she clearly improvised a lot of it {see extended scene} and any kid who can match wits with Kristin Wiig is pretty damn good, in my opinion! In fact, that's how I ended up here. I was wondering what she had done since, because she def deserves to be getting roles and doing well...
