My grandmother passed away with her hand in mine 18 years ago this week...When I was a teen, I would drive her around and at the time, "Deep," was a new release. She was more into Sinatra and Neil Diamond, but she tolerated/liked Peter Murphy...Especially this song. She often would ask me to play it for her. Thank you, Peter!
I always sort of teased that Peter Murphy sounded a bit like Neil Diamond. He actually does have a very similar voice. Seriously, “Deep” was a gorgeous soul-soothing album. I do believe that album was Peter Murphy’s absolute best. It wasn’t just for the kiddies. It had some serious sophistication that even older people could appreciate.
@@AJAXKID123 Yes! When I was at home in my room I was playing, "Deep." My mother came down to do laundry. And she says, "Is that new Neil Diamond?" AT that time I was horrified. But, Yeah. I get it. I love Neil Diamond, too. :D

One of my favorite,. He came through Pensacola Florida a while back,small setting, was able to get closer to the performer than anytime ever before. Guess a bucket list sort of thing.
I was right against the stage, to the right, with Noel (she worked at hot topic @westlake) glad seattle.gothic got enough votes to have #6 in seattle. Attrition was great too... Acid Tongue on 3 dead arms and a cert was a song i got on heavy rotation at the vogue, catwalk, and mercury.
