@@mariafernandanallim5318 Actually, if you have watched the entire Cathy Rigby production that aired on NBC in the mid 1990’s, you would know that she had been suffering from a severe respiratory illness, and could barely sing. She had to lip sync most of the show, but they would not mute her mic. Now, although Cathy tried her hardest, she really wasn’t very good. Hell, Sandy Duncan was much better, and she was even blind in her left eye! m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EmcTgcws0K8.html But, absolutely NOBODY will ever be Peter Pan like the original Peter Pan herself, Mary Martin. Along with being the original Peter Pan on Broadway, Mary Martin stared in the 1955, 1957 & 1960 TV productions. And, this is Mary Martin’s 1960 performance of “I’m Flying”! She was pure magic! m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AilIsO6EG4c.html
I saw Cathy Rigby as Peter Pan when I was about 6. The moment she flew out over the audience at certain call...I knew I had to do that someday, too. Peter Pan will forever be my dream role.
I love this so much with Peter Pan singing while he teaches Wendy and John and Michael how to fly, like I really do love the song: I'm flying, because to me, it has a nice ring to it!
I absolutely love Cathy Rigby as Peter Pan, Mary Martin was the pioneer and I thought she was great, but this production had more detail and depth. I do prefer Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook, I didn't care for this one, or the Smee. Honestly, I would fall for any girl who can play peter pan, I don't know why.
I'm flying. (Flying, flying, flying) Heading far out of sight Second star to the right Now the way is clear Never Land is near Follow all the air Cause I'm about to disappear Wendy, Michael, John! Tinkerbelle, c'mon! Hurry up and follow me or soon I will be gone! I'm flying!
Never saw the in person production but they might have added it in post production after filming like how people are saying they edited out the wires afterwards.
"Syed Ahmed Adeel" It is now 2021. Of course unless this comment is removed from RU-vid, it will stay past 2021 and it will seem that the comment is outdated.
I looked up facts videos about Peter pan and one of them mention the actress and it said She was in her 60s at the time and it was her last performance as Peter, insane but its true.
あーいあーい I am assuming you meant how old the actress playing Peter Pan is. According to Cinemablend Cathy Rigby(Peter Pan) was 48 at the time this was filmed
@@firebros1695 Righy trained to be a gymnast since childhood so she still retained her athletic abilities into her 60s. I guess the stunts done in this theatrical production must be easier for her than what she had to do as a gymnast.
Honestly this is my opinion I think she is just to old for Peter but that’s my opinion and sounds to feminine but idk if the character is supposed to sound like that
