I would argue that spell would make everyone still remember peter is spiderman, just that they don't remember how they know that. Which would also be interesting to see.

Yet he pins everything on Peter. While it's true that he should have said it before starting the spell, and could have said all the new parameters at once, had he known the dangers of the spell, he would have thought about everyone that should remember his identity before starting, thus allowing the spell to work properly.

@@calebrichardson5259 Nothing indicated that he couldn't, but it barely changes anything. From extremely dumb to just very very dumb. Would you really expect an expert, top of the line, brilliant surgeon who also later on becomes a brilliant sorcerer, being capable of doing something so dumb? It's the equivalent of a doctor who decides to amputate your arm, and you need to tell him to stop in the middle of it, to clarify that you don't want to amputate your whole arm, so he decides to just amputate your hand, but then you need to clarify further that you only have to amputate your pinky finger, which has a tiny little cancer that could potentially spread. It's utterly ridiculous, don't you think the doctor would know all that beforehand? And don't you think the doctor would also realize that AMPUTATING YOUR WHOLE ARM is a very serious decision that need to be thoroughly talked about and understood by the patient before they haphazardly decide to do it? Do you get what I'm trying to say? A doctor would never act in this way. Doctor Strange would also never act the way he did here. Terrible story writing.

Either that or he could’ve asked before casting “Hey Peter is there anyone you want to remember you’re Spider-Man before I cast this spell.”

if memory serves, i think in order to do that he needs mysterio alive for him to do the spell otherwise hes gonna be tampering with a dead soul or something which is basically taboo

I think he was putting Peter in his shoe, as he would've cast that spell for himself without a second thought

And why didn't strange ask peter if he really wanted to make everybody forget he was petter pussy parker. This entire scene and this movie relied too much on strange having 0 braincells.

As much as I loved this movie, the writing in this part was awful. Strange didn't bother explaining before starting to use the spell, and they could have just made everyone forget about both Mysterio and his video

@@lisboahwhen you look into people who commented on the movie, it’s so strange they blame Peter for this. Like Strange just jumped right into the spell and decided on his own to delete the connection between Peter and his identity, as if it would resolve all of Peter’s problems. There wasn’t a lot of time to think through the extent of the spell…

⁠@@galactichuntsmen I could prolly explain, but I’d like to preface this by saying I like this movie but it’s definitely flawed…. Dr. Strange totally could’ve avoided the events of the second and third act if he had explained the way the spell works BEFORE casting it. It’s his ignorance that caused the events of the movie. Overall it feels really out of character that the same guy entrusted with the time stone that was ready to sacrifice Peter, Stark, and the guardians of the galaxy for said time stone, is also the same guy ready to risk breaking reality apart for a kid he barely knows. That my opinion tho, I could be wrong🤷🏽‍♂️

Strange should have not caved in to Peter’s demands. Ultimately, this is Peter’s fault for not using his head.

That's stupid. Peter only stated that he wanted everyone to forget he was spiderman as Strange described it. Peter, instead of being a lazy ass, could have just explained the spell to everyone and reintroduced himself as spider man and left the spell alone. Even after strange told him to stop messing with the spell, Peter kept going

Nah he should’ve just not done it. His job isn’t to fix his mistakes. But apparently Peter is fine with someone else doing that for him.

Lizardman, you can hear snarls as he turns. It also makes sense because that the first one Strange initally encounters and captures.

The spell already will mess but instead of let multiverse forget Peter Parker is Spider-Man, it brings everyone who knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man from multiverse and different timeline.

At first I thought it was a tease of the Scorpion but since it growled it was probably the lizard.

Literally just thought this…like would be interesting if Quill or Captain Marvel remember him. Would have both been off world at this point
