Claire Danes herself mentioned in interviews how CIA ("retired"), Israeli and other spooks would run a crash course before every season to get the cast and writers up to speed. They did some fuck ups though it might have been to progress the plot of the writers like terrorists able to sneak into the US embassy, Pakistanis supposedly protesting in front of the embassy and a blonde American running around from motorcycles using a gate that opens up to the street. Carrie was even walking on the streets of Kabul on the way to the CIA station when America and the UK flew instead of taking the road between the Kabul airport and the US embassy. The program still shows the thinking and perhaps the wet dreams of the spooks like Israel denuclearizing Iran or an actual attempted invasion of Pakistan by Afghan based US forces (lol!) And Pakistan deploying nuclear equipped missiles at the border just because an American president was killed in a helicopter crash. I wonder if Bolton was the consultant for the last season because even unpredictable Trump didn't invade Pakistan after his rants in 2017.

@@Redmanticore _Hello, McFly!_ Did you forget to take your Ritalin? First, if you followed the show, Quinn was not a CIA "rookie". Second, he did not mention the use of "nuclear" weapons; he mentioned pounding the ISIS stronghold. Third, the eventual real-life successful operation against the terrorist group's capital was, as correctly perceived by Quinn's assessment, demonstrably _not_ achieved by special forces operations; rather, the Battle of Raqqa (2017) that obliterated ISIS's territorial aspirations did indeed involve considerable aerial and artillery bombardment that leveled 80% of Raqqa. So much, then, for _your_ joke of an assessment.

The really sad thing is that the CIA started this whole shit-show of the "FSA" (which is really just dozens of Islamic terrorist groups like Al Nusra Front) to begin with, as part of a greater agenda to get another member of the Russian Federation's Sphere of Influence off of the chess table (Bashar Al Assad), and then insert a US puppet, with the further goal of finally being able to build a pipeline from Saudi Arabia up the mediterranean coast through Israel, Syria, Turkey, and into Europe. Russia under Putin has refused to bend over and take it in the ass from the Western Banking Cartel so they were targeted for dismantlement (as they already were before Putin, but Putin saw what was happening and prevented it with his own coup) Putins privatization of the energy sector and pro-nationalist reforms led to Ukraine/Russia/Belarus all experiencing substantial increase in GDP and quality of life, when the staged coup in Kiev happened using Georgian operators to pose as federal security forces to throw fuel on the staged demonstrations which were being bankrolled by the Western Banking Cartel. (protestors were bussed in, housed in tents, fed hot meals and paid 20 USD a day) Don't even get me started on the fucking CIA and Pentagon helping ISIL fucking disgusting. 00:45 In Saul, Quinn sees a potential mentor-like figure. I think he develops a genuine admiration for and understanding of Saul in a way that he probably never admired Dar Adal and certainly does not respect Estes. We can say that Quinn was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Saul and Brody... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts: - Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press? - Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder? - Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think. - Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ?? Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else. Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt! “And what you wanted, which was for everyone to see what you see in him. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ... ” - How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world? The 3rd season did not correspond to the 1st and 2nd as it should be. Compared to most seasons it was weak, as the plot and plot issues that were overlooked or addressed briefly stood out in season 3. There was no "hunting" in Brody's scenes earlier in the season to make it look like he really was desired NOS. Where Roya Hammad and his terrorist partner M.M. They were? We never received an explanation for the events surrounding how Brody's car was moved and his involvement, only what we got was the "real" author of the bomb at the CIA in a hotel that we must believe to be a super leap that changed the script. For such an investment in storytelling around Brody's family over the past 3 seasons, for him to just disappear the way he did, it was a waste of time - to make Dana's story worse, it was shallow. And all those scenes about Mike and Brody's wife continually in love with each other, and just ending up in season three were useless - and Brody's son disappeared. What about Brody's marine friends who thought he was part of the conspiracy? And Quinn's underutilization throughout the season after being instrumental in the beginning of the second season's premiere. All positive points, they should have made the homeland a show of this 3rd season and address every possible plot! Claire Danes and Damian Lewis gave us, in Damian’s words, “two broken-winged birds sort of hobbling and circling around each other” in Carrie and Brody in such a compelling way that even though it really ended in tears, it was a GREAT RIDE as long as it lasted. And if you miss these two as much as we do, you may want to re-live the LOVE with Carrie and Brody: Was It Love? YES. Quin and Brody... I loved both of them. Both inspiring and very human, dealing with their struggles. Actually the whole series is full of so interesting characters... Quinn’s ending was heartbreaking, and so raw... I hated that he died, the show was not the same without him, something was missing, the stor ended unfinished Homeland had a sensible ending, closed all of Carrie's stories, while continuing the ongoing story of America's and Russia's rivalry. The series ends, but does not end, only better than that was seeing all these years incredible performances by Davis, Damian Lewis, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin ...

Simply great writing and acting. Reminds me a little of the movie BREACH … about Soviet Spy/American FBI Supervisor Robert Hanssen. The FBI tracker team closing in on Hanssen led by FBI Supervisor played by Laura Linney explains to her "plant" played by Ryan Phillippe, the full scope of how evil and treasonous Hanssen is - when Phillippe begins liking Hanssen and can't believe he's a traitor … She lays out the body count, the wrecked projects, the botched investigations. "Eric O'Neill (Phillipe): What if he's smarter than I am? Kate Burroughs (Linney): A couple of years ago, the bureau put together a task force. Lots of assets had been disappearing. So this task force was formed to find the mole who was giving them up. Our best analysts poring over data for years looking for the guy, and they could never quite find him. Guess who was put in charge of the task force? He was smarter than all of us. Actually, I can live with that part. It's the idea that my entire career has been a waste of time, that's the part I hate. Everything I've done since I got to this office, everything we've all been paid to do, he was undoing it. We all coulda just stayed home. " - and the person who previously led that task force ….. ROBERT HANSSEN. Yep .. another "now what" moment ..

The desdain in his attitude when he walks out of the room is amazing, he even looks the other way. Of course this is just a TV show but the level of moronic high level political decisions like the last one on Afghanistan, prove that this kind of people do exist and make decisions without listening the people that do know what they are talking about.

i think there was nothing moronic about afghanistan war, the people in power are so leagues above your level of intelligence, wisdom and knowledge, mr. random youtube commenter. you think you can run a war campaign you'd cry and give up after 1 day just thinking about all the people you killed. they knew it would be ultimately pointless, its a theater of war

I am not a Muslim but have read Quran out of curiosity. I haven’t found it any more violent than the New Testament. There is not a single mention of beheading and stoning. The issue is the interpretation not the text itself. Islam hasn’t gone through the process of reformation that Christianity did.

@@novelaviator No need to get stupidly confrontational just because you are behind a keyboard and there is no onus to remain civil. I read hadiths as well. True they are insane lol. It’s funny because most of the hadiths describe local Arabian and tribal practices (stoning was a Jewish practice) but have been incorporated into Shariah by the modern crazies. The Islamic empire beyond Arabia never had these practices. Shows how local they were until Saudi Wahabis in the 20th century started promulgating them and this new Shariah became the fashion.

I haven't watch Homeland after season 3, but i can already say that his conclusion of bombing Raqqa to the ground is so stupid because it clearly shows how little he valued lives that are not American. Let's say that the bombing of Raqqa was an allegory of bombing every single major city in all muslim-majority countries in the attempt to deradicalized them, he doesn't realized that he only made more radicalized Muslims and making his job even harder.
