The tabernacle is a picture of The universe. The brasen altar and its four corners pictures the earth; with the coals of fire in the heart picturing hell. The brasen laver pictures the firmament as both holds the waters: it was also made out of the looking glasses of the woman that assembled at the door: this matches what job said about the sky, that it is hard as molten looking glass. The first tabernacle pictured the door to heaven as inside is the candlestick and shew bread which pictures the Holy Ghost and Holy bible. Finally the second tabernacle pictured the throne room with God on the throne: the ark of the covenant was a pic of Gids throne.
I think nearly all preachers are egotistical, they love being looked up to as holy men of God. Kinda makes me think of the chief priests, the rabbis, the scribes and the pharisees
Jesus was a preacher. Paul was a preacher. Do you think that of them? If not, then that man who follows the Pauline example, and is united to Christ in the Spirit, will not be found wanting in humility, but will not be illusioned concerning his authority in the gospel, to preach it with all abundance of authority, as the scribes are unable to do. God be thanked for faithful men like Peter Ruckman and Larry Bartlett, who upheld the Book of the LORD as the single source of knowledge for the Christian. Teaching us not to trust in priests or scholars or selves for truth, but to trust in God and his words.
Jesus was humble and even humbled himself enough to die for us, yet his word was with power and authority. Philippians 2:6-8 (KJV) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Matthew 7:28-29 (KJV) And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
