The shakiness is nerves, and from that, shallow breathing (breathlessness) which is the last thing a singer needs. As he got over his nerves, the fuller voice came back.
That recovery was so good it makes me think the faltering start was actually staged. Either way he nailed the ending, it even sounded like there was a bit of an extra harmonic in his voice when he hit the last note on "surrender" at 1:27, as if he was singing both a high note and a low note at the same time, maybe its just me though.
My band (Flash Fire) plays shows with his (Lost Woods) pretty regularly and he has hands down the most amazing voice I've heard on the Adelaide scene yet. If only he could have sung one of his originals!!! But still amazing. GO PETER!
"Sweet Disposition" Sweet disposition Never too soon Oh, reckless abandon Like no one's watching you A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A kiss, a cry Our rights, our wrongs A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A moment, a love a dream, a laugh So stay there 'Cause I'll be coming over While our blood's still young It's so young, it runs Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop to surrender Songs of desperation I played them for you A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A kiss, a cry Our rights, our wrongs A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A moment, a love a dream, a laugh Stay there 'Cause I'll be coming over While our blood's still young It's so young, it runs Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop to surrender Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop to surrender [repeating over the next verse 'til the end:] A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A kiss, a cry Our rights, our wrongs A moment, a love a dream, a laugh A moment, a love a dream, a laugh Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop 'til it's over Won't stop to surrender
Do people here realize how impossible to sing this song tune is to begin with ? Of course it was pitchy, it's a super high pitched, extremely demanding for your vocal chords tune. Fact is, he took a risk and managed to rebound and to snatch up the coach he badly wanted. Team Ricky = Full Of WIN
Denise Martin I saw a great cover of this but no one really tries to hit those chords like the Temper Trap original...except this guy! Props for giving it a real go, that was more amazing than most.
This is a hard song to sing. He can probably sing it effortlessly behind closed doors or on that car ride to work but that stage can make make you sound like a kid going through puberty lol.
TeamRicky i love his smile lol so cute and i can't wait to see him on the battle rounds 0:03 = this guy has a horrible voice 1:00 = I regret my decision
+hana marie Yeah but they sound a lot better. There's a difference between a good singer and someone who stands out from the crowd. The Voice contestants are hugely overrated.
