This is nice and all…. but if I can’t get a copy at a reasonable price I just don’t care, I’m not spending 500-600 dollars for a used copy.

Took me years to find a decent price for this book, most cost 200-300 for an 85 page, im so happy I waited and getting one soon 😊

Hey ! I know it doesn’t matter what I say , but some people don’t want physical copy , just like you don’t like digital. Physical copies require space and some people don’t have or would rather not have to deal with it. Not only that it comes cheaper to the consumer if it is digital, because there’s no excuse "high quality watercolour paper" to hike the price up , of course using high quality paper feels luxurious and as an artist you’d want to produce good quality work , but art books especially the ones that for learning aren’t technically a luxury, but more for people who want to learn. And they’re not going stop at one book , because one book can’t cover everything, so even " how much space will one book take ? " is off the table as well. If you don’t consider that obviously people are going to get it by whatever means they can , including piracy. Piracy exists because the provider isn’t as accessible as piracy. I’d never say undersell yourself because the the physical book has a lot of work in it but not being accessible in other forms is only causing you loss while some piracy dude is cashing in on it. Plus digital copies don’t have shipping, which also looks like was a difficulty

12:40 I must say I am not a fan of this at all. I feel like it is ant-consumer/anti-fan mindset, of "I don't like a certain medium, therefore I will not publish it." While I understand that, it is the author's full right to make their work available in whatever manner they choose to, it doesn't really seem productive or smart to say "Well I don't like digital tough luck if you wanna read it that way." And I think an example such as the Amazon bootleg one would also not happen (at least not as much) if it was actually available; not to mention you would reap that profit instead of a 3rd party as well. In short, I think authors should let fans enjoy the book in whatever medium they prefer, instead of enforcing their own personal preference. And as we already established, keeping it locked to one form is a shoddy at best Anti-piracy measure, so not like that provides any benefit.
