My mother was born in Korea and raised by a bunch of nuns. So she brought me some old school catholic ass whoopings. My dad was military, so he just ran me through drills to discipline mistakes. Neither was fun, but didn't happen often, and the times it did, I definitely earned it lol.

I usually just got the hand, but I was about three when I threatened to go live with my favourite aunt at the time once when I got in trouble. My mom said ok, called my aunt and told her, and then packed my bag for me IN FRONT OF ME asking me what I'll need, and then brought me to the front door to wait. Her elaborate reaction to my little toddler threat scared me so badly, I never did that again

QOTD: Did I get beat as a kid? Did I get B E A T???? HELL YEAH I GOT BEAT AS A KID!!! I'm 5'4, I should've been 6'5!! I got beat so much it stunted my growth!!! I got the hand, I got the belt, when my dad was disabled I got the crutches, any and all inanimate objects were fair play in the disciplinary chart. And my friends thought I was being abused... because they were white bread with the crust cut off kids. They figured I was white, but I'm a half-breed. Half White, half Native American. My parents didn't give a shit about this "timeout/go to your room and think about what you did" crap. I screwed up, I got a case of "Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad". I totaled my dad's car when I was 17, I begged the cop not to take me home. She took me home anyways. Bitch. "To protect and serve" my ass!

I'm of Irish decent, so I'm freckled and pasty white. My dad, who was single due to my mom's passing, would belt whip my sisters and I. To top it all off, because he's a jokester, he'd sing a tune as he did it. He'd sing "I see your hiny, it's red and shiny.... and when you wiggle, it makes me giggle." I have two boys ages 16 and 13. I've given them the business once each when they were young. I've never had to lay hands on them since, just the threat alone has them acting right. I think there may be something to the whole "Spare the rod, spoil the child" thing.

A little late to comment... My mother is full-blooded mexican and my sister and I got our butts whooped on the regular! One time, my sister and I thought it would be a great idea to hide her favorite paddle. To this day I regret not just throwing the darn thing away. So she sought the paddle after some time and couldn't find it so we just got whooped with her hand.... until the day she found the paddle... I don't remember anything that happened that night.

WTF? are you kidding? l got tied to a kitchen chair and whipped with an extension cord, . . mom was a savage. she often hit you with anything convenient, she liked to snatch it out of your hand and whack your hand with it, l smartened up and started 'lobbing' it to her so she'd have to catch it, then orient it to hit me, by then l'm well beyond reach, so she often just threw it. . . if l had to reveal any manner of silver lining, l guess it would have to be that her impatience gave me enough practice to hone my reflexes. . l've dropped dozens of eggs in my life, but only one ever broke.

wooden spoon, ping pong paddle, and belt from 5ish until 10 then it was a paddle but I was pretty good at not getting caught doing stuff the few times I did get punished before I was 10 was because of yelling at my mom not to cuss in front of my baby sister, not fighting back when someone hit me first and one time for losing track of time and staying out past streetlights coming on every spanking but one after the age of 9 was for refusing to finish a fight

Discipline is needed for children, a whooping, long lectures, grounding/punishment, are necessary for a child to develop properly into a productive adult. I grew up in a time when not just our parents whopped our asses, but the neighborhood would if we really messed up.

I think I was about 4 years old when my uncle taught me the words, "child abuse, torture." I only used them one time when my mom wouldn't buy me a candy bar at the store. My dad hit harder but I preferred getting whipped by him. 2 or 3 swats with a belt and it was over. My mom lost her mind and it would be a 3-5 minute beating with whatever she could get her hands on. The worst was the extension cord. I was also fortunate that we could take swats at school instead of suspension. One time my mom told my dad to spank me and my cousin for something, I don't remember what. He didn't think we deserved it and told us to fake as he hit his belt on the bed.

My dad was the easy going guy. My mom was the one who discipline. When I was 16 got caught for mushrooms. My mom yelled at for me for an hour. After she left the room my dad gave me 40dollars cause it was may long. He was always the easy one. I was hit 2 times. One once by my mother in the face and dad on my back side. I'm a white Canadaian so it's a little different here but get the video best to my ability. We definitely weren't beaten though which we probably did deserve.
@SSingh-nr8qz
@SSingh-nr8qz 4 года назад
Yeah there is a difference between a beating and discipline. I can remember each of my whoopings and remember exactly why it happened. There is an important overarching lesson that many people miss. You can think you are smarter but there is always a person bigger or more powerful that will whoop your ass if you get out of line. Example: Go and walk up to a gang members woman and grab her by the chest, or simply say something disrespectful. Sure the guy may go to jail, but by the time he is done with you, you will be in the hospital or dead. Push ANYONE too far and civility goes out the window. In that situation you are playing around with life and death, and if you are not ready for that situation, you damn well should put yourself in that situation in the first place. Moral of the story. Cross a line with some people and they just don't give a fuck what happens to them as long as they fuck you up.
