I have two yorkies and they stole my heart. I’m not going to lie. I bought them for my wife. But she left and gave me the yorkies. There was no backlash from me. I love the little dudes.
@@thearoseequestrian2219 How do you know the dog isn't comfortable? I live in a colder climate n if my baby's hair is too short, he freezes! I'm not being rude.
It really depends where you live. If it doesn't get hot (i.e. Florida or desert heat) then long hair is fine. The dog was bred to live where it's cool and wet out (England). If you keep the hair long in a northern state or Canada, you're fine. If you're in a hot state like Florida or Arizona, they want to cool off.
I had two yorkies growing up and I loved bathing and grooming them! One of them loved it when I would blow-dry the chest area into a fluffy, curly puff of hair! She'd stick her chest out like dolly Parton lol. Great video ☺️
I'm in love! Before, old man! After, puppy! We have 2 yorkiepoo's. I groom them myself, last time we took one to Petsmart, she was clipped in her private area they didn't tell me this my baby was crying when I picked her up and hid under my bed till we finally got her out by poking at her with the broom, she ran outside to potty and into her kennel. In the morning her pillow was bloody, took her back to Petsmart, their vet examined her she already had an infection was given Antibiotics. Petsmart didn't return our money, not even an apology! I had an appointment , It was busy when I took her and asked if I should reschedule, they told me no I made my appointment they can take her, I wasn't comfortable leaving her and sure enough 😠. NEVER AGAIN!
Abigail Mejia EXCEPT MINE ,WELL MY DAUGHTER'S YORKIE HE EATS SHITS SLEEPS BUT HATES CUDDLING & GOING ON WALKS. HE IS A OBESE FATBOY BUT IS THE CUTEST. HE WEIGHS 16 LBS..I THINK WE NEED TO PUT HIM ON A DIET. HE STARTED EATING MORE 3YEARS AGO BECAUSE WE BOUGHT ANOTHER MALE YORK & WAS JEALOUS SO HE WOULD EAT ALL THE FOOD SO THE OTHER DOG WOULDN'T EAT. I used to groom my Yorkie myself with the puppy cut but I left his legs fluffy and full. I would always get asked where I got him groomed and people were astonished when they found out I did it myself with no training.
This is so much better than my favorite groomer that channel sucks she shaves the dogs and there is no pattern it looks like a 2yr old shaved the dogs!! This dog groomer did an amazing job love it
There are enough videos of Yorkies being shaved on RU-vid.. Yeah the pup looked cute in the end but he was a cute pup! I love brushing my Yorkie every night and he enjoys the routine and attention. IJS
This little angel reminds me of my Yorkie Ginger, who unfortunately had to go to Yorkie heaven last May at the age omg 17, to join her other 3 friends, Bogart , Ingrid and Zsa Zsa
*Aw!! Great job!! I have an 11 pound yorkie Diesel who always comes out of the groomer looking like he was attacked by shears (not cut, just so short) 😄*
I like my little guy shaggy but I usually keep him short in the summer. When he was a puppy, the “puppy cut” was $25 once he turned 1, the price jumped to $70. 🤔
This is a job well done for pet grooming. I have a yorkie and I would never allow her hair to get cut in that style because I prefer the longer look of yorkie hair. Some yorkies look very good with the short hair cut and you did an amazing and professional job on this particular pet.
Ruu Ruu I’ve raised show Yorkies since the late 60’s when thebreed wasteally expensiveand most people outside of dog breeders had never seen one. Keeping s Yorkie in a show Cut requires hours of daily grooming, wrapping, and foot booties that very few people are willing to devote time to. It’s better to have a Yorkie in a puppy cut” than be matted and miserable.
I wish my dog was this calm. 11 years old and still acts like me cutting the hair around his eyes and paws is going to kill him. He’s an Australian terrier.
Excellent job, congratulations. And the dog was so well behaved. However, I kind of like the homeless, good gremlin (gizmo) type of look on Yorkies. Wow. Maybe some beard and fringe could have been left on the guy? A lion king yorkie!
Wow! Excelllent and beautiful job! You were always gentle and respectful to cuddly furry friend. And you made it look so easy to do! I’m going to give it a shot; my first time with my little four pound yorkie! During this pandemic crisis we’ll have to give it a try and hope we get it right. Your video encouraged me and I want to thank you for such a great video! :)))). My little GiGi wants to thank you as well!
Go to GroomerOk video on the side of this video and see how a beautiful Yorkie should be cut and trimmed and shaped. This Grooming is well done. Beautiful Yorkie before and afterwards.
We recently took ownership of an adorable Yorkie who belonged to a family member. This sweet dog is absolutely terrified of grooming and right now, she is a long-haired mess. The last time she was groomed it took 3 HOURS. (talk about trauma for both the dog AND the groomer!) The vet has suggested a sedative (for the dog, that is...lol). It seems that groomers are divided about whether or not to give a dog a sedative prior to grooming. What are your thoughts on this? thank you!
I’m kinda surprised how many says their yorkie won’t stand till this long mine does. I’ve never had a problem the groomer also says he’s such a good boy. I don’t like how short they took his hair on his head but everyone likes different things.
