Petit is a strange character he’s had a few pops at Wenger over the years but in other interviews he said he was like a dad to him and gave him two weeks off when his real dad died to go back to France. People have short memories nowadays
Arteta team is no comparison with Wengers style of football. Wenger's teams attacked in numbers and committed men forward. Arsenal used to break and have 5 men waiting to receive a cross. We played fluid attacking football. Ljungberg, Pires, Bergkamp, Henry could all score double figures a season. Only Saka, Saliba, Rice have a real chance of being part of those teams. Arsenal were many people's favourite second team because of the football we played.
He was something else big manu he could do absolutely everything I’m a Liverpool fan him and Viera 97-00 Jess us Christ 🤣😂🤣😂🤣good luck I’ve never seen any other two mids have it with them two in that time not even Stevy g n Hamann cudnt get near them he could play n battle like Edgar David’s n Viera Gerrard could do everything
This man really could of been an Arsenal Legend like Patrick, shame he left so soon, same like overmars or anelka, couple seasons aint enough, cult hero/ fan favourite, sure, but if anybody wants to paint this guy as an Arsenal Legend is smoking something funky. it's a real shame IMO.
No disrespect but that is the most rubbish I’ve read in a long while. You obviously never lived through the times when these players were playing for The Arsenal or you could never of typed all that madness. To live through those times in my late teenager years and summers of love. Petit, Overmars, Anelka, all Legends in their own way. Arsenal legends are different from others
@@TheDjSweets I probably lived through the same period as you, and to me Petit, Overmars and Anelka are not Arsenal legends. Those players cannot be compared to the likes of Vieira, Henry or Pires as legends. Of course, everyone has their own opinions, but I don’t believe you should denounce the gentleman for his opinion which is valid.
I always find that interesting it is always easier to leave look at Mbappe with PSG couldn’t win the CL with them so left to join Real where it will be easier 😂
If Arsenal don't win this season, what happens? Do all the players die? Pep might go at the end of this season and Arsenal still have a young team. They may win nothing this season and then win 2 trophies the next...
I think fans forget we are up against the best manager, the best team the Prem has ever seen. This isn't like previous decades.. 89pnts doesn't win you the league anymore. Pep has dominated, even with Klopp utilising a very strong L'Pool side trying to knock him off - they've struggled. Only 1 title in 30 years in fact. Arsenal are now contending, getting closer to City every season. We've strengthened certain positions this season. City just got Savinho & has Gundogun returned, so they are not standing still either. They could hit closer to 100 points. All Arsenal can do is improve upon last season, and improve every season until we win. It's as simple as that.
