My back yard is full sun, southern exposure, but it seems to be a little too much sun. The front is too shaded…any tips for having basil in REALLY full sun without burning it?
Last year I finally allowed myself to say that no, I’m not a huge basil fan, other than a few focused applications. But I do still grow it to have on hand, to add to mixed containers (especially the Dark Opal), and for pollinators. Lemon basil makes a nice tea, and it’s great to have Thai basil for cooking. This year I’m trying lettuce leaf just for fun. They grow so easily from seed, why not? Also, tulsi, holy basil, is growing.
Im the opposite, cant get enough. 30+ plants. Pesto, pad krapow, its all soooo good. Also if basil isnt your thang for pesto try any other green! Carrot, radish, nettles, etc
