Pura MAX can handle up to 10kg. Don't know how big your cat is, but I have a Siberian cat, he's 8 kg and he fits in the Pura X, and it's smaller than MAX ☺️

The fragrance spray in MAX is sprayed inside the cylinder which makes the bad smell disappear faster. In Pura X it's sprayed into the waste bin, which means that bad smells doesn't go away as quickly. The advantage of X is that the spray disinfects directly on the faeces in the drawer. If the waste bag isn't taken out in less than 14 days, the disinfectant spray helps to avoid bacterial growth. With MAX you have to take out the trash every 14th days if they don't use it as much, because it doesn't have the spray in the waste bag tray.

@@tinypaws-petstore7400 I have Pura X and the smell is killing me despite the spray. So I thought maybe the newer model is better, I see that the waste container is locked tight and maybe that's why it doesn't need to be sprayed into

You are absolutely right, we completely agree with you. Waste containers for MAX keep the smell from the outside better compared to X. But when you take it out, it stinks! It is possible to put a scent cube inside the waste container for MAX called N50, which is in addition to the scent spray.
