I accidentally did this with supercoolant, it was liquefying liquid oxygen and the wacky liquid mechanics caused the supercoolant to shoot up and do this on the liquid oxygen.

I actually do think that is intended and has to do with the lore of the game. Since the existence of a dupe implies an original and there are frozen "people" all over the planets there might me original in that group of people. And when we now add a name to the pool of existing dupes that name automatically gets added to some naming folder for the originals - just a thought

19:00 This is the reason why Shove vole is considered as the most harmful critters in this game when they are wild. Just imagine if it poop a dirt tile on one of your electrolyzer or pump at there :)

😂 I loved this video. I recently built a 6 electrolyzer version of your stackable hydra. The gas split perfectly the only problem I had was the gas quickly over pressurized my base and I had to turn it off for awhile. There’s also no room for a bed. Also I do occasionally drink warm beer.🍺

the only problem with this setup is the joint, it traps the Hydogen, without it the Hydrogen will go top without problems.

knew it! did this exploit too. also, vertically stacked hydras work better i think. no priming needed. great vid man! also awesome the editing for the recent stuff. you made it informative, funny, and very entertaining. love em!

Thank you very much :). You can also have self sorting horizontal hydras. But it really depends on the exact tile placement for it to work in most cases. (my hydra in the achievement let's play was a self sorting one, but this one here isn't)

By the way, you can use the pip glitch to plant wheezeworts in flower boxes, so you don’t need to waste phosphorite on them.

Thank you very much! I hope i can continue the series. My time to edit the episodes is sadly very limited. I think i remembered the wort thing but couldn't find any sand on the planets i had Pips (i used it all up) currently i am making sand for filtration with the rock crushers

Nice. I also remember Greezy using it for crude oil in his let's play. Polluted water can be tricky for first time exploit users so I only showed this version (so far). Polluted water off gasing causes issues so a space setup may be required.

@@Luma_plays actually this is not true... You don't need vacuum, just a single tile the gas could move upward. Tip - connecting the vent to a hydosensor enables to use the same pump for duplication and for material retreival

@@Luma_plays open on top is risky, because another gas would break it. Works only with a single gas, and in case of polluted water - this gas has to be polluted oxygen.

Wow this is amazing, it still works!! Best part is you can use salt water as the base fluid and make inf water and salt = inf water and sand 🤣🤣. If you use cool petroleum or what ever you want to duplicate, you dont even need the aqua cooler. Another cool factor is if the liquid you start with is cold for exp 30F salt water you can make inf cooling, cause the duplicate salt water will also be 30F. This has to be the most powerful exploit in the entire game.

@@Luma_plays where is the clone critter trick? I want to see that one. But with the water trick you can have inf food anyway blossoms or clone ethanol and run generators and use polluted water for pips etc. It works for ethanol, its crazy also works for super coolant as well i tested it.

I just play this game and found a good guide video from you. May i ask about should i start making a natural generator on my 170-ish cycle?because right now i still clearing up my base and not explring much and has a wasted oxygen problem,etc

The sooner you have a stable colony the easier it is to continue playing. I know cause i normally don't have a stable colony. I fix here and there until i am to annoyed and make something permanent :D. I am working on my play style. So use this information however you like :D

Okay, this exploit was too good, too good that when i made it on my base i basically flooded my petrolium resevoir in a minute with 6 of those. It was overkill!

Hehe always glad to hear the exploits bring fun to other peoples bases. You can expand your petroleum generators and flood your base with power and polluted water with all that excess.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but this dupe glitch will duplicate liquid resin. Simply adding a liquid valve set to 1000 g/s will allow the resin drop without disrupting the vacuum thus duplicating the resin, although at a very slow pace.

This setup can dupe any liquid that has a second liquid it functions with. You have the liquid you want to duplicate and the liquid that floats on top of the first liquid. This second liquid has to be roughly in the same temperature range and depending on the viscosity you may have to change the value. But you can do Salt water, Polluted water, Brine Petroleum, Resin, Liquid Steel etc.

Great video! Question: since you have to use a liquid heavier than water, is it possible to do that duplicator with something other than water? Or some other liquid so that you can duplicate water itself?

the wiki entry "liquid" has a list sortable by density. the only thing lighter than water with a valid temperature range is visco gel.

To answer you question to the best of my knowledge: 1. is it possible to do that duplicator with something other than water? --> Yes you can use other liquids. Depending on the liquid you want to duplicate it is even necessary. The liquid amount for the corners might change though, as well as the systems heat or cold requirements. 2. Or some other liquid so that you can duplicate water itself? --> Like First Last said. I checked that as well while testing. Regular water is (probably) impossible to clone (that way) since there are no good less dense liquids. And visco gel doesn't flow. Making this specific method non viable. You can clone salt and polluted water though and then filter it.

@@Luma_plays i think it had to do with self sorting, he has a similar design to the original one but hydrogen keeps getting in the oxygen zone. I tried to help him, sent your hydra video, i think it has to do with having a tile directly above the electrolizer water? Basically covering 1 up direction

It is possible that this might get fixed. I don't think the infinite storage gets fixed though. It is to much connected to regular intended game mechanics.

Power, as a coolant or temperature conductor for hot rooms. As mid step in a sour gas boiler for even more energy. Other than that nothing.

Should work too. The exploit is based on game mechanics and those are either the same or pretty close. But if you test it let me know if there is a difference.

@@Luma_plays yeah, true My solution by the way: Berry sludge: just one unpowered fridge in my rocket has food for crazy much cycles (3 duplicants in one rocket normally), and also gives a morale boost Sleet wheet was a bit annoying, so I wild planted it in a temperature controled room. Berrys are easy, just water, maybe a mutation

@@wittkopdotzgaming In an earlier glitch, Luma shown that you can trick plants needing solid ferts into using flower pots instead of planters. Then you get domestic growth, but with the wild benefits of no fert. Weez, mushrooms, mealice and all that are super cheap/awesome with it. If I'm not mistaken,you can even get grubs to rub of you go two pots,block,two pots, block... Then they can catch it on the corner. If so, I wonder if dreckos could eat meallice that way too.....

312 DUPES! how is your PC still alive :D It can dupelicate polluted and salt water. There is a problem with regular water since there is no liquid lighter than that (visco gel doesn't spread and other liquified gases freeze the water).

@@richard2mitchell I think for polluted water you need to leave 1 tile of space above the middle vent (that it can fill with polluted oxygen. Or you have it lead to space.

Duplicator still work fine. This one from Mathmaniac is a 2.5kg per second one. There are also ones that can copy tons per second but they work a bit differently

Liquid duplication doesn't work for the resin. It is too viscose.

Hey Mikhail, some combinations don't work. I remember resign beeing horrible to duplicate since it becomes solid alot and is viscose as you say. but i think i managed to get at least a few kilogram of duplication going after heating everything. But i better check again since i am also not sure.

@@Luma_plays I tried to heat everything up to 90C, I tried to replace water drops to heavier liquid (petroleum, oil and naphtha are heavier than the resin). Nothing helped...

I know this is kinda late but this setup will dupe liquid resin. I found that if you use a liquid valve after the return pump and set it to 1000 g/s, that it will start to duplicate the resin. Hope this helps! Note: It may dupe it at a slower pace.
