After experiencing my first Petrolhead tour last summer (video link below), I was hooked! My expectations for their Scotland trip was far lower than the Alps, but aside from the "four seasons in one day", it was every bit as good, in many places the deadly quiet roads almost made it better! Saying that, I'm off on their Alps and Pyrenees trip at the end of June, need to order myself some fresh Michelins ;-)

I was lucky enough to be on that trip and it was literally one of the best things I've ever done, it is actually just as good if not better than it looks and I will 100% be doing another. Thanks Joe for taking the time and trouble to put this great video together, your an absolute legend mate.

Go see the beaches of Harris. Google Luskentyre and Seliebost beaches on Isle of Harris. Ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway, then tour Lewis then Harris, then get ferry to Isle of Skye, then back to mainland over the Skye bridge, then travel down through Glencoe on the A82. The roads, the mountains, the lochs, and the beaches are just mind blowing

If you are ever back up here in Scotland then you need to go to Isle of Lewis/Harris. Travel up to Ullapool then get ferry to Stornoway, tour Lewis then travel down to Harris. Tour Harris, then get the ferry to Isle of Skye then back to mainland. The roads as you would expect are mind blowingly good for fast cars. Google Luskentyre beach on Harris 😍 as well as the many other beautiful beaches on Lewis and Harris. You won't regret going, trust me. Once seen never forgotten

Joe, been watching your videos ever since you started. As other folk have said, you inspired to me to obtain the awesome M135i and recently upgraded to the M2. I'm from Scotland and seeing some of the sights in this video that not only have I driven but also flown (pilot) are purely breath taking. Keep the epic content coming. All the best!

Hi Joe ,welcome to Scotland glad you enjoyed your time here .Just bought a 135i myself and have been a long time petrolhead but not done the 500....yet. Totally inspirational vid ,planning the necessary fuel stops must have been a nightmare (well done the guys at petrolheads )Friggin sheep are always the biggest concern IMO .Also notice how responsible, re looking ahead and planning when its safe to accelerate this group are .10/10 mate.A wee trip to Knockhill on the way home would be the icing on the cake.

Only 15 mins in, one of best RU-vid vids I’ve seen in a long time. You’ve already managed to capture the pure spirit of driving so well, and the respect you’re showing to all cars on tour is refreshing to see. No bullshit, just a bunch of guys enjoying their toys, regardless of their backgrounds. Can’t wait to watch the rest!

This film has just reminded me mine "road trip" around Scotland during July. Even though, I used my XC60 T6 instead of Polestar and we were four in the car with a boot full of stuff I've pretty much enjoyed every second of the driving (even on the "wrong" side of the road :D). And these road trips just makes you fall in love with your car. I'm definitely planning to go back

What a brilliant video! I really love that intro, and how you clip the many angles together, it's absolutely beautiful! I've always wanted to drive around the northern parts of Scotland, and this video made me even more eager to go. My god Joe, what are you doing to me! Literally just two days ago, I binged on your previous petrolhead tour videos and have been frantically planning a mini-Euro trip this summer. Realising I might be a bit short on time and long on distance I started looking at Scotland - AND this video pops up! Timing couldn't have been better and the quality is just amazing. Been along these roads quite a few times and they are just magical. Not done the Duke's Pass that you mentioned but hopefully soon. Being able to spend time on these roads in good company makes the trip even better. Some lovely cars as well. At about 22mins in it looked like your tailgate was taking a battering on those bumpy roads. Keep up the great content.

Although this time when you were going over the cars in the car park you went passed a Mazda 6 estate and I got excited you were going to say that had come too as thats what I now have has my daily haha but you didnt sadly! Did the same tour back in 2014 with Petrolhead Nirvana as they were back then in my mx5 and it was mega. Your video brought a lot of memories back so thank you Joe and great work as always! One day I hope to be able to do another one with Pete and Dan, top blokes like you say.

Joe an excellent video that brought home the passion and excitement of those tours. Vlog was well edited and I can imagine that took a bit of work! It seems almost an age ago that my son and I met you on the Gumball Tour in London. You are in my playground... I've driven all these roads for years, from Killen to Deeside to Durness and beyond. Amazing driving roads. My weapon of choice was an E46 330d. Such great fun and would highly recommend it, but popularity will destroy it, especially for the ones who did it before it was a thing...

The Duke’s Pass is one of my favourite local roads. I believe it has more flow in the southerly direction (your return route) as the tight blind left handers become more open, better sighted right handers. Smaller the car the better it gets IMO.

I've done about 3/4 of the NC500 twice now on motorbikes, would love to go in the car. Getting an m140i very soon so might have to make some time 😎 By 3/4 I mean I did everything apart from the extra bits up to John o'Groats and the Isle of Skye. Cairngorms have the best roads I've ever been on😍

Excellent video!That certainly looked like mega fun. It's great when one can actually enjoy the drive and relax without having to worry about the police hiding in the bushes etc trying to catch drivers out as they do in Australia.
