PETRONAS National & Malaysia Day 2015: Akrab 

There are no Malays, Chinese and Indians, there are only Malaysians. After studying oversea for 3 years, I really appreciate the sense of being a Malaysian. I never recognise myself as I Chinese, because I was not raised in China, and I am so so different from them, from the way I speak to the way I dress and to my opinions about things. I get really annoyed when people ask me, "So, where are you actually from?'" I'm from Malaysia and I'm a Malaysian from body to soul. My family have been here from the start when Malaysia was united together to form a country. And no matter how bad our politics are, I am proud of being a Malaysian. Many of my friends who studies locally could not comprehend my thinking, but once you've been away from home for so long, you'll definitely see things differently. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

This is Malaysia, the country that I loves dearly. Here is where I meet nice people, get to know people, and understand people. Why must be racist when we are actually just human? Negara Malaysia adalah negara yang berbilang kaum dan penuh dengan pelbagai budaya, adat dan bahasa. setiap kaum perlulah menghormati budaya dan adat yang ditetapkan kaum yang lain. saya mencadangkan satu eksperimen sosial berkaitan perpaduan dan integrasi nasional di tanahair dengan membuat setiap kaum mengenakan pakaian tradisional kaum lain. supaya masyarakat tahu akan budaya kaum lain di tanahair ini.
