its ok to love a player and root for him but you cant expect him to score 50 goals and if the team is bad again you got to remember you kept the same players and didn't upgrade.
This is the type of stuff that landed us in a decade of mediocrity: holding onto fan favourites long past their welcome because they were likeable even though they weren't good enough to help us build a winner. Sometimes you have to let guys go to win a cup.
I'm not the biggest fan of JT, but he's clearly the most well spoken of the group and possesses a greater vocabulary than most of the other players who just give the same perfunctory answers
@@uhVesh His game is let everyone else do the defending. forechecking, & skating, then benefit once the team has possession by using his overrated shot or some easy passes to top 6 players he gets to play with.
Me too man. Ive been on this ship for over 30 years. Too late to jump off. I'll go down with it 😂 Go Canucks Go....*sigh* But I do like this group. So damn talented. Let's hope they finally put it together and consistently play like we've seen them at their best.
Love this coaching staff. Foote is a legend and Gonchar to help with the Russian players. Tochett was my favorite player growing up. Let's hope the players listen and work hard this summer. Proof will be in the start of the season.
Sure feel for Brock. Awesome human being. Soul crushing stuff he has been thru and it has obviously changed him. You can tell he is going thru depression and must be exasperating for him getting up to that level of compete every night. All the best bud.
Love how forthcoming Brock was just straight up saying he does not want to be traded. Its funny how so many talk about him having a poor season while he was within 1 point of his best season total.
Floating around all season scooping up secondary assists and falling well short of his “30 goals guaranteed” prediction for himself this season is a let down.
No matter the season outcome, I will always support the team I love. I will say, I truly feel like this management has a vision. Wether it comes as fast as we want it is to be determined. They have some BIG problems to address in the off-season management wise but also up for our players to work hard and grow their games to another level. Toc is a good coach that’s getting the guys to play the way they need to be playing. Go Canucks Go. If they can fix the blueline, insert some young talent and Demko stays healthy the sky is the limit. I’m looking forward to this next season 🔥🤙
wOW the question to JT and Petey about their relationship.....so cool hearing Petey "do you? ....and JT.."what did I say?"......what a moronic question....incredible .....actually cant believe is still and keep re watching how they beat that reporter with their answers..../
I'm still on the Boeser bus. No player should be judged on his down year any more than they should be judged on their career year (Horvat). I'm sure he will bounce back next year.
WTF is with all this negativity from the reporters, "how do you feel about your agent looking for a trade, a fresh start". It amazes me how the reporters in Vancouver continue to insist on managing and coaching the Nucks. This team is very close to becoming a playoff team and contender. Play as hard on defence as offence and they will be in. Once the team gels no doubt a contender.
Reading between the lines of this and previous interviews, I get the feeling that Horvat may actually have been a negative factor in the locker room (or a non-existent factor in the locker room). On the ice I think he was a good top 6 player but not even close to being the best on the team as someone commented earlier.. Besides the outburst Miller had on Delia I think he shows greater leadership qualities than Horvat. Now we return to once again wishing for a more successful and longer next season 🙏
Rutherford HAS TO SAY SOMETHING about the 5 game road trips to start the year! Your playing pumped up teams on home ice openers and guys like Mcdavid want a early jump on the scoring race. The league likes to copy n paste the schedule because its the easiest way but its not easy for the Canucks.
10 minutes in, and Hronek has that body language like, "....why am I even here? I hardly even played. You guys don't want to talk to me. Talk to me next September." lol 15:26 And that's why I would like Petts to have the C. That answer right there. N o cowering to the question. Sharp wit. He's always had that though - the ability to push back on a question that just seems to be looking for drama. That's what I like in a leader.
How do you not give Millsy the C? I feel like its the easiest of all the decisions this organization has to make this off season. I get it Petey and Hughes are great players and leaders on the ice but its pretty obvious Miller has all the qualities that a team leader should have.
@@rodneyhickman825 Yeah you're right we need another captain like Bo who had zero emotion, zero interest in boosting his teams morale and didnt stick up for them either. Worked really well last time!
@@rodneyhickman825 *Well everybody in the past was saying a quiet leader can't lead without any emotion... So now we have a guy that wears his emotion on his sleeve and now he's too much of a spaz? lol. I guess back to quiet leader.*
Looking at past interviews, it seems like Hronek is always this quiet with the media, but I don't think he was too happy with the trade overall. He had 2 other Czech teammates on the Wings, and has none here. Having a couple guys from your home country is nice for the Europeans. Also, who are the goofballs asking Miller about emotion and his relationships. Just quit it already.
Petey about Miller - he is my friend - This matter of fact way of expressin himself is so typical for a nortehrn swedish boy. He is my friend - end of story.
i would 1000% rather have miller as captain. horvat seemed like he never fit the roll, he seeemed like he just answered questions like a robot and didnt really have passion for the team. just my take, but i think miller is all in and would be a great C
That sure wasnt a "I will resign" statement from Pettersson, good for him. "When you have time, use it" was one time said by someone. I hope he waits to see where the team goes before comitting to a new contract, for his sake.....
@@warriorcleon5852 on the contrary, however I think a lot of mistakes are and have been done by former and current management and with that in mind I think the players should do what is right by them. If that means in Vancouver, great, but I’m not convinced that they ever will be good enough to really compete for the cup with all the constant misses, therefore it might be best to play somewhere else, if he wants to win that is. He will get paid wherever he plays, that is not the issue.
probably too much controversy and trade rumours and such surrounding JT but honestly if it weren't for all that he should be the clear winner to wear the C
Another wasted season. At least the canucks are consistently bad on the player and mgmt side. The canucks blew it again by not trading JT miller and winning meaningless games to screw up their draft position. No surprise again as we have seen this song and dance under Benning.
