Thanks For This....I've Had 2 Of These Cars....I Wouldn't Let Any Of The Door Issues Put You Off ..They Are Great For Parking In Tight Places....Cool Little Cars...For Cool People...With Good Sense....This Is A Cheap Fix.....They're All Cheap Fixes Really.....If You Have Time And Patience...If You Don't ....Then Garages Can Sting You For Labour......But They Always Do On Any Car....Don't They?
Good Morning Kevin, I watched this video with interest as my Peugeot 1007 has just started to have that very isssue - I removed the panel as you suggested and behind it was the mechanism for the Seat Belt and above that a white plastic box with four wires going to it ! are those the wires that need disconecting so the door will shut ? I would appreciate your advice and thank you in advance !
You need to remove the block with 2 wires that attaches directly to the servo which is situated inside the doorframe right behind the hook that the door grabs when closed. I suspect that you removed the terminal block with many more wires from the black box that's first visible when taking the interior panel off. Also worth noting that this fix will only work if you can get the door to close and stay closed while you are doing all this. If you just manually close then door closing servo will be disabled in the open position meaning it won't work. If you can't electricly close the door and start work then loosen the hook and force it towards the kerb before retightening. All worked for me and I'm no expert....
Please what is the name of the cable so I can order it online.. am really having a hard time with this door in my car.. I even changed the Actuator still can't hold closed thank u
