The roof will go down if you open your trunk and pull the cover for the grocery to its place. Otherwise the roof will not go down.

Read the manual of the Peugeot, before unscrew everythink. Das Rollo im Kofferraum muss eingehangen sein, sonst geht am Dach gar nix.

Close the safety curtain in the trunk first for opening roof

Mate, why didn't you ask someone who's had one, read the manual, or ask Peugeot if need be ! You have to pull the safety screen back to edge of the boot and clip it in. Be aware, that that screen can jump out of place, which it did the very first time I took the roof down, I was parked up aswell, just checking its operation for the first time. I thought had I got ignition key in wrong place or something, it started to rain, so was desperately searching on RU-vid to do it manually, so went to the boot for allen key, - I then saw the screen had jumped out of place, instantly I thought, " I bet it's that", & hoped it was, sure enough, panic over, drew the screen back into place, - tg5e5 roof went straight back up effortlessly, thankfully. ✌
