removed mine on my 206sw because the wiring is built into the tailgate window and it broke away so I took the wiper motor and wiper off and bought a window bung now it will not fail an MOT
I'm a van driver by trade and never have to use the rear view mirror as it doesnt have one. I'm going to remove mine just so it feel's like a van... lol Each to their own i guess.
Thnx for the vid. What's the secret of removing the inside plastic trim? I tried pulling, but you get the sense of breaking stuff quite fast 😉. Hope you can give some tips!
Pull the white side bits off first, then just pull hard. There are two metal clips near the inner handles which are the most difficult to remove but with a little wiggling in the right direction they will come out easily. Pretty much just pull hard since there are no bolts holding it in.
Found it! With a lot of courage ;-). It's indeed just a matter of pulling it off. The metal clips near the 'handles' slide. You have to push it towards the window so to speak. Thanks for your advice!
