i am jealous . I had only one chance to see Marathon London Sydney in 1977 on the border Greece Turkey. British in Citroens 2500 rally, somebody on Range Rover, polish Zasada in Porsche 911 . Fantastic sport i will love it to death. Good luck and enjoy WRC
Yes, i know that the r5 is going to replace the s2000. You are probably correct but time will tell if the psa group will abandon wrc or not (it would be much better for the sport if they continue).
Exactly how does the announcement of an R5 equate to Peugeot joining WRC? Plus - IF Peugeot enters the WRC (agreed, highly likely but not definite yet) that would at the same time mean the end of Citroen in the WRC. No chance PSA are going to run two competing marques.. And that's just the marketing side of things, finances are another limiting factor for it.
Hum... You know that citroen is getting of wrc and peugeot will enter with the same crew citroen has, right? BTW, they are already developing the 208 R5 (that is more expensive than the R2) and probably the WRC version is next...
the 208 R5 is for clients! peugoet only will get back to the main class with a WRC! the R5 and the citroen DS3RRC are cars for people to buy, not one official team will be racing those two, and neither the R2
if its ever going to compete in wrc class. how would it looks plus its fwd and i dont have much left for the r2 class. i prefer s2000 class or wrc or open wheel
This is not a WRC car. It's an r2. That means about half the horsepower of a world car and only FWD. also the running gear isn't nearly as good/ expensive as a WRC.
J'aime bien ces vues à 1:21 et 3:09, Par contre à 2:31 et 3:37 ces vues sont ratés, le son surtout, C'est quoi le truc par terre à 3:55 ? Et marrante celle là, à 2:13.
Citroen and Peugeot Are PSA, so yep it's the same mechanics for the Citroen & Peugeot's series Models, but for the sports models peugeot sport & citroen racing have nothing to do between them
As many people here, I think that joining the WRC with a car which has such a city centered purpose, it's senceless, dull, and boring. Peugeot's greatest rally era was, and probably will still be the 80's with the 205,405... And the latest good cars that are in touch with rally modalities, the 106 rally, 206... That's all it is about..
Nice video - bad car. Lousy sound especially @ braking, I think it's too slow-probably too heavy. In any way it is not pleasant to the eye (nothing like 205, 306 or 206, or even 106). I expected much more from Peugeot which is a manufacturer that I honestly RESPECT. Let's hope that they will improve it soon.
So the front end looks to that way to cuddle pedestrians when you run them over. Can we all agree not to run over pedestrians so we can have better looking hatchbacks?
