in a nutshell he says that this car is closer to a track car than a WRC car in term of performances, braking, gearing up or down, and speeding up, also the 4WD helps in the WRC compare to a track car. Et surtout on peut plus dire qu'elle à quelque chose a voir avec une 208, elle n'est plus traction. C'est une propulsion à moteur central arrière. Une Honda NSX quoi... Contrairement à l'époque de Ari Vatanen où la voiture gardait sa base que l'on renforçait pour la course. Ici cette "208" n'est plus une 208 c'est un proto, une F1 . Ça ressemble plus à un swap Espace F1 ou 1000tipla :). Bref On ne bats PAS le record de Ari Vatanen car tout à changé... Seul le lieu est le même...
La route avait été goudronnée l'année d'avant ! Il n'a fait qu'exploser le record sur goudron de l'année passer. Vilebrequin font très mal leurs recherches.

Ho les gars ils font une caisse-fusé en carbone et quand tu ouvre la porte ça grince!!!! excellent. En tout cas pour l'avoir vu en vrai au Ventoux c'est inimaginable la puissance et la tenu de route et là vous avez pas le bruit qui te fait vibrer le corps et les odeurs.

Dans ce cas pourquoi ils ne tournent pas avec ce genre de caisse en rallye? Je pensais que les bagnoles de rallye étaient suffisament puissantes pour atteindre les limites au niveau adhérence sur ce genre de tracé.
WRC cars have nothing in common with stock! Engine blocks are similar but different casting, sequential box, and different diffs. The only thing that they keep the same is the chassis, but then it's extensively modified with roll cages and tubular frames underneath to carry diffs and engine etc... This class is unlimited, so they don't need to make a road version of it. But they could! For the grp B they made a road going version of the 205 T16 to get the grp B homologation!

You can use the translator to generate English subtitling throughout the clip but i'm afraid it's not so good! At least Loeb speaks a little English at the end. I remember when he first started rallying and he wasn't at all confident with English....has improved but still doesn't seem to like doing it.

Nice video - Thank you What can I say - it is no more a 208 but a tubular chassis/kit car. An ex. v8 DTM with a supercharger could do the job, no? By the way, the go-pro cameras are not that great and relatively expensive. I understand the product placement and sponsorship. he also mentioned that this is the similar set up as WRC in the sens the you only have one shot at it and not many laps to adjust the setting therefore you have to be good at it right from the start otherwise you are pretty much dead meat

Cuz its for adversiting of the 208 and remenber the past when Peugeot was killin it during the Group B era with their 205 T16 and 405 T16 and Ari Vattanen on the seat.
simplement parce que quand t' as 800 ch à passer au sol il faut que les roues collent. Avec un becquet pareil tu augmentes l' adhérence de 30% à partir de 130 km/h
