Just waiting to pick mine up , I cant wait , had to have a few extras added due to my disability.. counting down the days until the 17 Feb.This car is perfect for any one with a disability as it will give me back my independence which is priceless.
Still the best looking SUV out there, two things that annoy me, the useless glovebox and the touchscreen heating controls, other than that. Great car Oh, and excellent review!
What a great review. The best I've seen yet. This car is probably the most attractive inside and out, on the market in this segment. I'm also delighted it hasn't got a twin clutch or CVT auto box, both of which seem to have issues in other cars. I'm interested in the 2 litre version as I tow a caravan, but the low kerbweight might be an issue. I also believe that Peugeot may have dropped the 2 litre diesel engine from the range for 2021?
Great review Dave. Initially when I saw the length of the video at 25 minutes I thought that it would be too long, but it actually wasn’t. It was very interesting and informative. Am I the only person who saw the rear air vents at 8 minutes and thought that they looked like Kermit The Frog? Except he wasn’t green! :- )

i'm thinking of buying one and you have helped. i haven't counted the amounts of times you said "and you know what". but being ocd i did notice the top of the A pillar doesn't run fluidly with the roof lining. but nice one pal.

Took delivery of mine last month, one of the best cars I have owned, and I’ve had a few. I bought the GT line premium, 1.5 Diesel, I live in Spain and the central consol has the air conditioning running through it keeping your drink cool. The Sport button when pressed especially on the motorway you can feel the difference. Great car and would highly recommend.

Great review. Well done. I’ve had my 3008 GT line for 12 months now and it’s been a joy to drive. Traded in my 308 GT for this but was the right decision. I purchased the 2017 EAT 6 speed petrol 1.6 and is nippy enough for me. I do wish I’d spent extra now for the premium but I can cope without the sunroof and electric tailgate. 10/10 review 👍
Great review! Best review I've seen for the Peugeot 3008, I've just got the GT line premium and it's a beautiful car. The 1.2 engine is very punchy for its size. Lovely driving position, great for the kids. No car is perfect, but this almost is! Lovely i-cockpit, massaging seats and opening glass roof, love it 👍

Ordered a GT Premium 1.2 in Black this weekend. The 1.2 doesn't feel like a 1.2 at all and its turbo charged. Didn't get on with the Automatic, very boring to drive. Collecting in a week or so.
Excellent review. I have had my 1.6 HDi EAT6 18 plate from new...18 months later it has 35000 very comfortable miles under its wheels. Superb car. Your comments match my impressions. It does drink quite a bit of AdBlue, but it is currently cheap so no problem, regularly get 600 miles out of a full tank.
I too saw this car for the first time at the 2016 Paris motor show then bought a Kadjar! I rectified that two years ago and purchased a 5008 diesel automatic and found it so brilliant that I’ve ordered a new 3008 (with fangs). This time a 1.6 petrol PHEV as I’m not doing the mileage to justify a diesel. This was a fantastic review and I thank you for sharing 🌞
Thanks for another good review. The thing I don’t like, and many manufacturers do this, is the slab-like infotainment system sticking up out of the dash like a tombstone. Also, I would say the faux exhaust note on sport mode is more of a gimmick than pumping a hint of fragrance into the cabin! You say the automatic does not use a dual clutch system - what system does it use? And lastly, is the 1.2 litre a 3 cylinder?

Have to agree with everyone else, among the best reviews I've seen. I got my 3008 GT-line month ago, great car overall. Only compliant is that the gearbox tends to be a bit "indecisive" for lack of better words between 2 and 3 when slowing down and turning.
Doubt this will be seen but wanted to say thank you as i am disabled currently have a Ford Focus time to get a new car & your also the only person that reviewed a car that did mention if your disabled you will find it easy to get in & out of(would love to see more people maybe do a review with disabled drivers in mind so i have ordered mine the only negative with this car is that it doesn’t have electric seats as i would rather have the 6 way electric seat adjustment than the massage but to add it was over £1,000 & as i have to have park assist i couldn’t afford the seat upgrade but my new baby arrives end of May gone for the blue am excited to drive in a car that isn’t as painful as my focus hence looked at active x but same problems with height & getting in & out also to get the Ford Focus active x to the same spec as my GTI premium i would have to pay nearly £2,000 so thank you for helping me choose my next car I just can’t wait for it to arrive.

Hi also love the interior/exterior of the 3008, question though, there was no MENTION or use of the PADDLE SHIFTERS in the video, your thoughts on the SPORTS PERFORMANCE & EASE OF USE of these: Paddle Gears: Q1. Simple as selecting M (Manual in front of Eat8)? Presumably as many GEARS as the Auto ie, EAT6 or EAT8, right. Obviously/of course: LEFT PADDLE = GEAR DOWN REAR PADDLE = GEAR UP Q2. GEAR INDICATOR on the iCOCKPIT? Q3. GEAR UP INDICATOR on the iCOCKPIT ? This was available on earlier models of the 3008.
I have the 2008 Premium Allure which I bought in March this year & I love mine - I think the 3008 is beautiful but perhaps a little too big for me - love the glass roof in mine too - lovely feature 💯💪 great video - thank you 🙏

Agree with previous comments on the good review......looking to get a 2017/8 3008, want a automatic....and at least Allure trim...no more the £18,000 max...any thoughts on the best engine to look for? Motorway and in town/city driving
Just bought a 20 plate in white and i love it. Love to know what the "M" button does on the base of the automatic gear shift though anybody know? Oh also love just pushing a button and watching the boot opening and closing on its own like Knight rider clonking my mum on the head after she's loaded her shop from Aldi when she's not quick enough, just like a car version of hungry hippo. 😂
Dont buy Peugeot they have a know problem with the timing belt"zahnreimen". My 3008 engine blew out on the highway with only 52k kilometer. Was my second and last Peugeot. The first have massive issues as well. I made the mistake of buying the 3008 because I liked the design.
Thanks for sharing, Ive had mine now from new 68 plate, I love it, comfy to drive loads of toys and my 1.5 diesel has enough power I want, looks sexy and mean with that lovely front grill and lights, the inside has plenty of room inside.

Great video. 💯% agree about the reversing camera. It is atrocious. Like watching a dodgy pirated video. Regarding the sport mode is it just a sound effect through the speakers? Maybe I'm imagining it but i feel like there's a slight extra pick up in power for a second.
Lovely car but feels a bit cramped in the back and they really needed to make it AWD for the price they are asking, and most people want the ability to do some mild off roading
Big Chief thank you for your comment. Yes in the back you do feel the tightness where the form takes over from the function of the car. AWD will be a great option to have but most drivers wouldn’t take this type of car off-road.
Another very balanced SUV review. I had one of these for a week when my then new Tiguan was leaking diesel. My feelings were that the digital display can be difficult to read if the sun is low and I'm one of those who prefer physical climate control switches as well as touch screen and voice (my 2012 S-Max had particularly good voice control) I also found that I never truly trusted the gear selector to be in reverse , having to look each time by which stage the start stop cut in . However I do feel this was a truly mould breaking design for Peugeot that has been a big success. However not for me. Following the watery death of my Tiguan , I am awaiting delivery of a Cupra Ateca.
I absolutely love my 2018 3008 GT Line. In my opinion, it is beyond doubt the best looking car in its class. I initially tested all the usual competitors but nothing came close to the look, feel and handling of the 3008. I purchased the 1.6 Petrol Turbo but in hindsight I think I should have bought the 2.0 L Diesel Turbo. Here in SA, people laugh at the fact I chose a Peugeot but when they see it and I take them for a drive, they change their mind. Yes, hats of to the Peugeot Design team.
Yeah..the 2.0l turbo diesel is magic..I also looked at the 1.6 petrol. So happy I chose the diesel 2.0l. Am also in SA and still happily doing long distances with my 2011 model. Great auto 👍👍
Love your video, reliability wise how is it? for example Peugeot have a bad reliability rap, i had a 2008 2017 model and the clutch broke on me after the second day. Would you recommend for someone doing lots of miles or is it a pretty car that is suited locally, i am talking around 20/25,000 miles a year. Would appreciate your response as i am looking for an suv.

Regarding my comment re: fragrance top up at service. They didn't do it, but I've found a solution and so cheap too. Just drop a few essential oils on top of the little beads in the fragrance case, which is stored the glove compartment. The beauty about it you can choose what fragrance you want. It lasts a few weeks with just a few drops. I currently have orange and cinnamon. Cheers Chris
The only car better looking then Peugeot 3008 is the new Peugeot 2008. 3008 is obviosly the big brother, but by the looks its the smaller brother, and yes I thinking of the the new 3008 2021.
I have the 5008 gt line the camera isn't no where as clear as a bmw. Would be great if they made it to that quality. Apart from.that I loooove the car looking at an 3008 now instead. Thanks for video

What a great, thorough yet concise review, after a scare regarding this car with it's adblue system i was getting a little worried, now im much more confident and hope mine is as good as you say it is! Ill be going down tomorrow to finalise everything so fingers crossed and thank you!!
Gotta test one of these...only issue I can see is I'm 6ft 4 and really hoping head/legroom is ok for me...it's something I allways have to consider on a car ☹️
I've got one for a couple of days due to my brand new car being in the dealership being worked in. The basic 3008 is horrible, there's hardly any kit in there, the power is amazing though, small in the back ( I'm 6ft 2 ) and hardly fit in the back. But its something to drive around in
A big problem is it does not have a level sensor for the Diesel Adblue. You have to keep toping it up to avoid the alarm to go off and then a visit to the garage to reset the system. A total nightmare for a car of this high tech specs.
I have just purchased this 3008 and having problems with the i cockpit trying to set it up. there is no manual book anymore only internet download and a whopping 578 pages its a headache
Thank you for your comment. Yes the i-cockpit is a new feature for Peugeot and is a bit complex at first. I recommend simply spending a bit of time to go through the menus and functions on your own to see what suits you best as you’ll find a display which is to your liking.
was watching your review.. i bought a merc b200 but then my friend was looking for a top of the line SUV and i personally love the new range of the peugeot 3008, i still think its the best small SUV upto date.. i can say, its almost on the same line with Lexus,Merc and Audi SUV's.. and then boom.. I accompanied my friend to a dealer and i helped him select the right one and we were both inlove w this car..and he grabbed an white one..and it was looking sporty. he was very happy..drives well... i want to own one of this in the future

I drove a 3008 1.2 litre hire car and did 1200 miles in it and spent the week thinking I was driving a 1.6 litre. It was only when I entered the reg number that I found out it was a 1.2 litre.
SwiftShowGaming I agree. I have a 1.2 GT Line and absolutely love it. The sport mode is responsive and comes in handy when pulling away. I agree about the engine noise when in sport mode too. Totally unnecessary addition and actually sounds annoying. Aside from this there’s very little to not like about this car
It’s a great car - the only issue I have is that the warning message about the clutch getting hot is very worrying when you are stuck in traffic on a hill
I’m picking up a brand new allure premium plus on Tuesday. I initially was buying an almost new 2008 GT line, but I found I couldn’t fit in the drivers seat without my leg being stuck under the steering wheel (I’m a 6ft female). I then spotted the allure premium plus and I’ve gone for that (£38 extra a month than the 2008). Gutted I haven’t got the pano roof and the other bits - just hope I’ve made a good decision.
Great review, we are picking up our three year old gti premium 3008 next week . It was great to be able to step in and out of the car as I was finding it difficult in our Hyundai as my legs were too short to get in and out if it . I’m so looking forward to the seat massage for my bad back . It will be first time in a year I’m driving as I insisted my boyfriend got a automatic this time around . Short legs made it hard for me to drive in our other car . Also the adjustable seat and wheel are perfect !
Why do you testers only quote HP (these cars are not dragsters) what about the torque which is the important point for grunt. Also please please mention the reflections on the screen from the dash also some LED headlamps are rubbish compared to the old halogen units. Love my Peugeot but those issues really annoy me and I now wish I'd known before I bought the car. The rest of your test was excellent, thankyou.
Mine is due end of March am so excited have added park assist (due to my disability) & also added active cruise control,i was going to ask you i know it slows you down if it thinks your too close but one of my pet 🤬is when i have been sat in a lane.Then where it joins from two to one people drive down the side & just think you will give way(& too all of you that do it’s makes,me bleep 🤬 bleep) if i too wait then so can you coming right to the head of the cue is NOT OK sorry for rant but have had 3 time in a week where as per normal Audi & Range Rovers seem to think that physically pushing their car into the cap to force you to let them in is ok.So if someone is trying to push in can you over ride like cruise control? Or do you have to turn it off completely? Have gone well on Motability so not much automatic choice have the GTI one down from the top model.But wanted to know how comfortable it is? As i have arthritis in both shoulders & am really struggling in,my Ford Focus titanium x (66 plate) so it would be great to know your feed back & maybe you could add a,little extra info for those with disabilities as there is nothing out there as others have asked about wheel chair storage leg room does the seat shape really help your shoulders to feel more supported? Would love to know your feedback on this.But i was shocked when i ordered mine & upset to find it has all the bells & gadgets but,it doesn’t have electric seats as standard only on the top model & would be nearly £1,700 to have electric seats added to my package what are your thoughts on that? As i think we all would assume & take it for,granted especially with this spec that it would have electric seats but it means i will have to hope that once i have put the seat where i need it.That their seat has very good support & that their claim that with the small steering wheel that your shoulders,are at a more natural position so if you can give me some feedback on the adaptive cruise control & the seat i would be grateful & what do others think that this model doesn’t have electric seats as standard it’s back to the pull forward & adjust seat on the dial on the side of the seat which with my shoulders both will be very difficult but still waiting for my build date which they say is middle feb & end of March pick up so any extra information would be great & i went for blue as so far have seen so many grey & red colours so decided on the blue & thank you again for a great review as have sent this link to other disabled friends who are about to decide on getting the 3008 they all said it was a great review.Marie-Clare
Hi Marie-Clare. Thank you for your comment and I do apologise for the late reply. The 3008’s Adaptive Cruise system does slow you down if there’s a car in front of you slowing down but can’t recall if it slows due to someone being slower in the outside lane. That was something I didn’t have the opportunity to experience in the 3008. You can override the system by either accelerating or changing lanes. If you brake it does cancel the current setting but by hitting the resume button you will go back to its previous setting. The seats I found very comfortable and had no issues after a long journey. The small steering wheel takes a bit of getting used to but with the light steering feedback it is an easy car to manoeuvre. Test drove one and undoubtedly the interior is superb. One aspect I didn't like was the central drive train which means the gear leaver is set a little high and the whole height makes the your left hand hip feel a little squished. You also may not have noted the overly wide foot rest adjacent to the clutch. Even with normal sized shoes on as opposed to boots, it means it's really easy to not depress the clutch fully leading to a clunky gear shift. Some people may find the solution of moving your foot slightly to the right on the clutch easy. Personally I found it an annoying niggle
I'm looking to buy a 3008 and yours is the most thorough review I've watched. Thank you for that! I need to load long equipment into the boot and the front passenger seat will fold down to let a long digital piano travel safely in the car. It is one of the reasons I have chosen this car before others and I believe that feature is available across the range.
liked and subscribed...I've had mine for a year now and love it, we had the Nissan Quashqi before the 3008 and it seems Nissan are miles behind with regards to technology and sex appeal. We wouldn't change ours as there is so many little fine touches that the Nissan Quashqi is lacking... you did mention the fragrance part of the cockpit atmosphere, do you know if you get a new one as standard with Peugout service as ours ran out after about 4 months. We are due our first service this month. Thanks for the video, one of the best I've seen online. Cheers Chris
Thank you for the comment Chris and thank you for subscribing. I believe the fragrance can be topped up at its service interval but I am unaware if it comes with additional cost. I agree the 3008 does have a lot appeal visually to the Qashqai and feels a lot more special as a result. Soon my review of the all new 208 will up up for you to see.
I wish I had been able to try out the 1.6 Ltr as I found the 1.2 a little lacking for my driving needs. I love that you don’t have to leave the parcel shelf behind. Many times I’ve had to take the shelf out of a car to deliver a bulky item only to find later in the day that other items in the boot have to be left on show. I have experienced grip control in other PSA products and I can honestly say it more than covers the off road needs for the majority or drivers. Only the few would regret the lack of rear driven wheels. Maybe a PHEV address that issue for Peugeot? Another great review Mr AutoBear.
Well done Dave great review you covered it all the good (all most all of it) and the bad (Peugeot fuse box put it somewhere else) the position of fusebox robs space from glovebox but that's it no other issues it's a great SUV plenty of thought for most things has been done by Peugeot r&d \designers ,we are having one on lease from December 2019.
