After hitting a deep pothole at 50 mph with the front nearside wheel the ABS/ESP light came on, along with limp mode and no more cruise control 🤬 Pulled over and turned off engine, started it back up and no more ABS/ESP lights or limp mode. Cruise control back on again 😀 Couple of weeks later and ABS/ESP lights permanently back on but no limp mode and cruise control still works 🤔🤷♂️ Limp mode would have been the engine knock sensor but Aagghhh, bloody electronics! 😭 Rant over, cheers 🙂👍
Hi thanks for your video, did your diagnostic scanner say it was the abs sensor at fault? And if you were using PP2000 would that have shown an abs sensor fault as well? Thank you very much.
Hi there, Yes the scanner said it was the front right sensor. I should have shown a screenshot of the fault in the video but had it fixed before i realised i had not taken a screenshot. PP2000 would have shown the exact same fault, i now use a generic fault code reader that can do all cars albeit it seems to be able to get into most systems on most cars. PP2000 is handy to have for older stuff but can be a hassle setting up the laptop and the handful of leads needed.
@@peugeotCitroen2CV Hi. I have the same car as this and was wondering what generic code scanner you have? I've got a few jobs to do on this car and just need a cheap scanner to clear the codes afterwards. I'll be getting rid of the car in three months so don't want the expense (and the hassle of setting up a Lexia/Planet 2000 system. I'll buy a quality scanner as soon as I buy my next car. Cheers 👍
