People cant believe that this is a Peugeot, thats funny, i have a RCZ Facelift, but i didnt got it to drive like crazy, i love the styling, the nice interior with the leather, jbl soundsytem etc and that car (in germany) is rare, you dont see it every day normally. This car is still 7 years later a fun car to drive.
Maximum power at 5800 rmp. So what?! Then he has to shift. Thats exactly the point! Its just an example, but lets say he shifts at 6000 and the next gear has then 5000rpm. If he would shift at 5800 the next gear would only have about 4800rpm. Thats why you dont shift at the point your enginge has the most power. You do it a bit after that, so that the next gear is nearer to the most power. Did you understand it now?
Maximum power at 5500 to 6800 rpm. If you want to have a quick top speed you need to have the power for the maximum time you can have. On this model it’s 5500 to 6800 rpm for 200hp max power. He just driving in the best engine speed range on the vidéo
The plain-red begins at about 6600rpm, and thats where the THP156 and THP200 i drove where limited. But i agree, this one is faster then i would expect.
Et n'est clairement pas "stock"... je compte 22 sec "youtube" pour le 0 à 200, en comptant une probable erreur du compteur, on peut arrondir à 25sec. Or elle devrait être plus proche des 30 sec

Le moteur de cette voiture a été conçu avec BMW. Pour ceux qui rallent, allez chercher un moteur de 1l6 fournissant encore du couple à plus de 7000tr/min à plus de 230 km/h et toutes marques confondues. A votre bonne surprise vous n'en trouverez pas. Ce qui justifie que cette voiture n'est pas de la merde ;)
Vrai et Faux , le moteur a été concue en accord entre PSA et BMW certes, mais c'est un moteur PSA, à distribution par chaine, car BMW l'a imposé, étant donné que BMW est le meilleur motoriste incontesté. Toyota va même mettre leurs 1.6 diesel dans les Yaris verso, etc . Pour la petite histoire, BMW va se retirer de l'accord avec PSA , bye bye la coopération franco-allemande, et Ford va faire de meme, séparation de PSA, on aura denouveau de vrai moteur Ford.
Oui et non, puisque moi aussi j'ajouterais bien que seul Honda (et ses dérivés, Acura notamment) connaissent le "VTEC".C'est la seule chose qui leur faire produire autant de puissance à ces régimes.
N'oublie pas que les moteurs dont tu parles, notamment celui de la Type R, sortent 200ch car ils peuvent grimper jusqu'a 8.000tr avant zone rouge ... Ma moto sort 135ch, ce n'est qu'une 1050cc, mais elle prend 10.000tr par exemple

Sry :D did he rly need to use 3th gear under 100km/h? so weak...... i got an ds3 racing. My one is the 66. produced car from 2000. I need to put my 3th gear on 115 km/h ... so when he is on 100km/h im still on 140 ^^
i own a Ds3racing and the gearbox in Ds3r is awful...so long...if the ds3r had the same gearbox as the RCZ it would be a much faster and more fun car...
Lol... judging a car's performance based on the gear ratios. It really shows your ignorance. Besides that, comparing an RCZ with a DS3 is like Apple and Oranges. Also the RCZ beats an DS3 Racing on a circuit, which is not bad for the standard model vs. a souped up model (this car is not an RCZ-R).
lulz. Who will ever turn head to see DS3 passing? NOBODY. Who wil turn head when RCZ is passing? EVERYONE. Also you are comparing car that cost twice more than DS3 and there is a huge difference between "just cheap" and "good looking quality". Who cares about 3rd gear in 100km/h? 99% EU countries have speed limit at 130km/h.

@@r.maj.7065 man i told you i have one rcz 2013 year with 147kw/200 hp this version you have also rcz gas version with 156hp and version diesel i think with 160 hp and best version rcz r with 270hp and yes this my version rcz 2013 with 200 hp top speed is 245 kmh
@@r.maj.7065 and it's a real acceleration, because it has a small engine 1.6 thp and has a lot of torque and horse power in small engine if you didn't know the bmw engine is inside, peugeot was in cooperation with bmw when making the engine
It makes no sense to accelerate over 6000 rpm. This car reaches maximum power at 5800 rpm (as it appears in the data sheet), so accelerate over 6000 rpm can only hurt the engine. Beyond this RCZ is a great car ! ;)
It has an intelligent map that can increase power power does not drop at all until rev limiter mine now is at 7000rpm and does not slow down at all until it hits the limiter

Even if it s a 2 minutes video, we can feel it! The way he switch’s is really pro ! Nice video ! I do have a 2l HDI 163 (remap at 201 Cv for 422Nm ! It s really intense! I love driving my car ! It s nervous and really fun! The Peugeot RCZ is such a nice car ! Probably my Favorite French « Coupé » car ! And the design is just exceptional! It s truly a beautiful car)
