Long time Buc's Fan, and the benefit of having had a Manning all of these years (not just the several "good years) would've prevented, at ~60 plays per game (his words), 3000 of our run-to-nowheres up the friggin' middle.

One QB that was a master of the play fake was Chad Pennington. He didn't have much arm, but he could sell that play action so well he'd fool the other team, the play by play guy, and the cameraman. I'm just that average fan, but if I could have the ear of a young QB, I'd say just have someone put together a reel of Pennington play action and you'll see you couldn't tell the difference between a real handoff and the fake. If only he had an Elway arm to go with it. Still it was a thing of beauty.

I played football as a kid until the end of highschool. Had a lot of quarterbacks. They were always super smart but rarely were the most athletic. It takes a lot of physical skill to be a quarterback but you can also make up for a lack of it just by being the smartest person on the field.
