Oh my gosh. Stephen reminded me of Bette Davis in the Little Foxes when he just stood there upstairs looking at him refusing to help. Bette did that to Herbert Marshall when he was crawling to get his pills. She just sat there!
Steven would never be happy with Adrienne. He doesn't love her, and very soon, he'd come to hate her because she caused him to lose the only woman he ever loved.
So now, Steven says...I must leave this house and asks Adrienne if she would go with him. WTF?? Betty pleaded with him numerous times to leave that house and he refused. Betty was right to leave him.
@@suki44883 I think Stephen realized just how dangerous his hatred for Peyton is. He still has a conscience, but now Adrienne just tried to justify it.
Did Steven put himself through college & law school?Steven wasn't actually in room when Peyton almost fell.Yeah,he deserved a push, but think he deserved hugs more, even if a nasty old fart.
Steven has been kicked in the slats ever since he was born..it's a wonder he hasn't turned into a Lee Webber, Eddie Jacks, Jack Forrest, Joe Chernak - or a Martin Peyton.......
Doubt if Martin Peyton was anything other than the rich scon of a New England family that came over on The Mayflower and made their fortune establishing mills which either exploited the locals working there or maybe actually weren't quite as bad people as Martin always seems in PP with the occ good deed thrown in.Just love watching him in action, how his eyes shine as he uses people. That's why I think he's the better Martin,Hyde-Whyte was too often a good guy,George usually the bad because he was limited to "Gothic" type roles.Still was a great actor.
@@dannyhill8797 Hannah admitted to Steven that she made his life hard, to make him hard going up against Martin Peyton as an adult. Plus, even saving Martin's life didn't get him anywhere with the old man... There's good reason why Steven Cord is the way he is...
New hair for Constance (Dorothy Malone) -- styled, but softer and more natural. Not the helmet-hair wig look that's dominated her appearances. A tragedy for the actress and a pity for the audience her storyline lacks stimulation.
