Original air date: April 21, 1969 on ABC. Steven tells Mike that if Fred dies, he could be facing murder charges.....Lew begins to tell Alma about the incident in New York.....
@@suki44883 he’s been so much better lately. With Martin Peytons absence he has had some relief from his childhood memories. It messes kids up big time when they are not loved
the setup was seeing Jeff and Fred's interactions; and Fred and Susan...who knows: after failing with Marsha, Fred could have gotten too frisky with Susan and she clobbered him.....
@@andytaylor5476so little respect for PP at the end meant stories were not wrapped up in their entirety..the audience, however, did learn that Susan Winter had something to do with Fred's death..we can only assume her reason could have had to do with Fred coming across to Susan as he did Marsha..defending herself, she ended up killing him......
@@dannyhill8797 It's too bad the show was canceled. I felt the show was getting better, in spite of the defectors. I like that they were bringing on black characters and seem to be more timely. I still have a few more to watch. I was 12 yrs when it launched in 1964 and watched with mother for about 2 seasons. Anyway it was great to watch the complete series. The Susan actress was not much of an actress most of the time.
as far as I know, Mia Farrow was one actor who ''wanted off'' PP shortly after it started..she didn't expect PP to be a hit, and when it was she wanted out..with Dorothy Malone and Tim O'Connor, I don't think they had a choice - even if it was in violation of their contracts, for which Dorothy Malone sued and won..on a less pleasant note, after seeing PP and ''The Doctors'' from the same period of time (1968-69), black characters were not ''allowed'' to socialize with the other characters on any level - regardless of how everyone came across as being such good friends..that was consistent with both shows..as a child, I didn't realize this..it seems, now, that anyone considered a minority was left out of that equation..of course, over time, this changed; but I still think it interesting, how things played out in those days - right in front of us without us noticing..i guess we were meant to get carried away with Black performers/characters and not think any further..well, it was the (late)60s..what can I say.....
It annoys me that these people always ask Steven for professional advice and they think they are so clever and Steven is stupid when they don’t even relate what exactly happened. Is Steven meant to guess the facts? Dr Rossi is getting very annoying and irrational since a while back starting with his interest in Stella Chernak. And as head of hospital, where does he have the time to track down Fred Russell? Very poor writing on the writers’ part. No wonder viewers think the show has been going downhill
I agree. Barbara Rush has such lovely facial features! Her eyes, her nose, chin, lips, and even her jawline, are lovely and so feminine. She was a true beauty.
