Both the machines are quite strong but i prefer the 360 and 12xx series because it has the belt with "teeth". That means in low rpm iT has no slip. IDT is à Nice feature but for multi layer leather stitching iT isn't a must have.
The timing is difficult? Are you kidding? It takes all of 5 minutes to time the feed dogs along with timing the rotary hook. The service manual outlines the procedures clearly.
This are wonderful videos. Are you in NL? I am Dutch also, born from Dutch parents. My father was trained mechanic in NL and only wish he was still with us & here in AU because I know he could service it better than most in AU.. I love my machine, and difficult to find informative/fastidious Pfaff professional.
Hello Dennis, do you repair these machines? Are you interested in sources for replacement parts such as the plastic cam and nylon gear? I was recent looking for a machine to use and saw a 1221... Anyway I have experience as a machinist and I think such a part would not be so difficult for me to copy and do a small production run.
I was just about to ask you if you have tried a Pfaff 130. I glanced up and then noticed it in the background. How would you compare the two models? Beyond the IDT feature do you find it superior to the 130 in anyway? Thanks!
Hi Thank you for the great video. I have 1222e and 1196. I bought both on a impulse and without much knowledge. Both are having monumental problems. 1196 s reverse is not working. Lever is operating but still machine is not reversing. Any idea what should I try to do to fix this??

Hello, I wanted to ask you about the Pfaff 1222 machine, it works slowly, it does not have some speed, how it can be increased or there is a problem with the machine.
Thank you so, so much for such great videos. Wonderful explanations and tutorial. I inherited one last year that I never used and now would like to sell it as I am moving and have many other Pfaff. The machine has a few scratches, is built-in in a cabinet and was outfitted with an industrial "lever" system to bring it up at the cabinet level. In your opinion, what is the value? Thank you!
Hi is there a service centre where you can get a Pfaff 1222 repaired , I opened my machine after 20 years and found that the wheel was not moving. The off/ on switch is broken too and the 4 pin socket is loose. The machine was running at first but then a fuse or something blew but there was no burning smell. Could you help or suggest somebody who could help to repair it online remotely!
