Is this for an SI joint adjustment? Let's say it is...if the left si joint is locked up, do you bring the left knee closer to the body as shown in the video? My left lower back has been paining and I confirmed today it's not sciatica. I failed the slump test. Just tell me which knee needs to flex closer to the body.
Yes, but which side of his pelvis is forward? My PT taught me this and my left hip is forward all the time. I need to know which side to work when. My therapist dismissed me so I do not know the answer to that.
This video is not specific to which innominate it's trying to treat. When your left hip is rotated forward, you would treat it by bringing your left knee to your chest and keeping your right leg straight. You would then use your left glute to press against either your hand or the therapist's resistance for a count of 5-10seconds. Relax and bring your knee further towards your chest. Repeat this process 3-4 times. Hope that helps.
@@annmartin1376 Negative, if the hip is rotated forward (anterior pelvic tilt), it would make that leg shorter. If rotated backward (posterior pelvic tilt), it would make the leg longer. Muscle energy technique's may be used for correction as needed if you don't see improvement the first time. They are not proven to provide long-term changes, but are a great method to be used for short-term correction/pain relief, and in conjunction with other exercises to promote long-term improvements in function.
@@DrCatz88 thank you !! You cleared this up for me. I watched the Zion Physical therapy video on SI correction . The video shows what you are describing above..
@@DrCatz88 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VQ8h9bnlY3o.html seems to say opposite, confusing. I think I will use the push pull technique on both legs.
