Medusa was a priestess of athena who despised poseidon but ooved her servants. It would be very out of character for her to punish medusa. I think that after seeing what poseidon had done to her priestess she wanted to protect her from undergoing the same cruelty ever again by making it impossible. No man would ever be able to touch her.

I only liked it because of how good it looked but the only thing I hate was that no one in any of the stories understood that Medusa is just a Victim, Not a monster but was made evil because of the Goddess Athena

Interesting how time has changed things, Perseus is more of a relentless beast in the way he fights, no hesitation no fear, and Medusa is more beautiful, closer to how she was before being cursed. hmmm interesting. Perseus don't even care if staring at her turns you to stone, it barely seems to affect him, and I am pretty sure hed have to look at her at least a little to be able to pull off these sword moves. Just shows how time and priorities in society have changed, and Art reflects those changes, the hero is more beast now and mosters are more sympathetic.
