Phil was my favourite golfer when I started playing as a youngster. Always looked up to him greatly as he is so friendly, passionate and honest on the course. Great to see him still on top of the world. 👍
Phil was definitely the star this week, what an unbelievable win this was. Honorable mention is the Ocean Course. What a fantastic venue for a major championship. That course just has it all. It’s very tough, but very fair, and has the ability to create a ton of drama down the stretch, especially when the wind is blowing.
@@utubchnnl I agree with both you and Eric. I'm a massive football fan, but now that the season is over (and in such hectic fashion for me as a Liverpool supporter), it's great to chill out with something peaceful and relaxing. I got out to play for the first time in over a year last week and now I'm anxious to get out again. I've missed it a lot.
Phil Mickelson is the epitome of class and should be named the 'Ambassador of Golf'. He is so giving of his time and consistently appreciates the fans who follow him (note the part of the clip where he gives his birdie putt ball to the handicapped boy.). He is so self-effacing that I don't think he's ever thought any kindness is beneath him. Congratulations Champ!! I hope there are many more!
We were gifted with a rejuvenated Tiger at the 2019 Masters. And here in 2021, we have been gifted with a rejuvenated Lefty at the PGA Championship. Golf is seeing its Stand-Up guys deliver memorable performances. Let us enjoy it while we can
I used to squat down like Kaepka does when I had knee injury and could not fold it properly for years, i can feel how he is feeling, but despite that, what a performance!
@@weepetef He has won every single major except the US Open, he has too many 2nd places, it's eluded him for years, it would be incredible if he won the Open.
Congratulations to one my all favorites left hand golfers Phil Mickelson wining the 2021 pga championship Phil Mickelson is bring sports back in 2021 can you say Phil Mickelson hit a 9 iron on 18 at the 2021 pga championship be in tomorrow sports page Phil Mickelson is one my all time favorite golfers of all time I have been a Phil Mickelson fan for years congratulations to Phil Mickelson at the age of 50 years old to win the 2021 pga championship I meet Phil Mickelson at 2014 us open championship and walls Fargo championship pro am tourment
So proud of Phil. I'm 40 years old so I grew up with all of the classic golfers who've either retired or moved onto the senior league. It's so awesome to have Phil holding things down at age 50.
If u watch the final Sunday again, Koepka and Mickelson could have shot 70 each . But credit Phil for winning and Brooks manning up and playing on very sore knees., I think these 2 golf pros will be going head to head again this year .👍
Great golf, so good to see Phil win another major. The TV coverage was great, except whoever was the audio engineer totally ruined the last 3-4 holes. Way too much crowd sound...you could barely hear the announcers!
To update this is was a huge win for Phil Mickelson just win this Hawaiian open I mean he can't imagine what a beautiful backdrop you couldn't ask for more beauty in a golf course and what a moment how many people were there that were just behind Phil Mickelson winning that tournament it's just like must have been the greatest moment of his life when he held up that trophy above his head and realized that is just one a huge golf tournament
Wow. That interviewer at the trophy ceremony was dead on, the 'body changes' during his career have put him all over the map. And at 50, he looks like a young man again. Obviously played like it, too. Really awesome what this dude can do. He's been around for so long, it seems, and he's ONLY 50. And. Giving that dude, in the wheelchair, the ball was quite the gesture.
A guy I work with said this should be up there with Jack winning THE 86 Masters, I said, slow down there, then I thought about it, it's insane that a guy approaching his 51st year beats guys half his age, but I still put the 86 Masters as the best major win ever, but from someone in Phil's demographic, this was pretty damn cool
I think of Tom Watson at 59 years old with that one shot lead on the final hole of the British Open. That was so heartbreaking. Stewart Sink ended up winning in a playoff and not even Stewart's mom was rooting for him. I'm not even kidding. They asked her.
Dude....seriously....DUDE.....you had ONE job with your comment....to sound smart.....then you just HAD to blow it didn't you.....it's Stewart Cink.....NOT Stewart "Sink" bro.....WOW.
"Age ain't nothing but a number..." I have to say though, if Phil started his career with this same commitment to fitness he's adopted these last few years, who knows how much more he could have won.
20, 000 to 1 odds? What? Its Phil Mickelson. That's unreal.. I wish I had known this. If somebody had mentioned that to me prior I would have rushed to get 5 bucks on or something.
it's actually 200-1 odds. the way they write the odds can be a little confusing. +20,000 means you would have to bet $100 to win $20,000. still would be an awesome payout since you would have gotten $1,000 on a $5 bet
@@bmanley620 oh, thanks Bruce. That makes more sense. And yes, still amazing odds. You know, I never heard odds described that way, the way they had it in the video.
Congratulations to Phil Mickelson, awesome win. Even when he isn’t winning he has a great personality out there. A humble winner too. He is still young in heart, and mind.
I was at my local golf course clubhouse with my family eating food before we went and played. when Phil hit that tee shot into the sand on 5, my dad "uh oh the wheels are coming off for Phil, he's known for that." And I kid you not I said "nah he's got the best short game in the world watch him make a 2 real quick." Sure enough. Right in the hole.
Dear Fans. Way to Go Lefty Phil M. I just want to tell you a True Story this Week I Prayed to the Golf God’s ( the PGA Pros that ARE IN HEAVEN) to watch over Him. Today I went to Church Lit a Candle for Him and Ask the Golf God’s take Care of Phil. Also said a Rosary for him. Then Ask Arnold Palmer to Help him . Well I can say it look like the Olden Days when Arnold’s Army was Alive ,So this is the new party Phil’s Patriots Fan’s. God Bless you Phil. I did take a photo of the The Candle. Greg of Ohio. ☮️
