Dunno if anyone else has pointed out but since you weren't able to see the plot of Week 3, basically its like this: Song 1: Boyfriend meets Smol and Smol asks Boyfriend if he's actually serious in becoming one of the top musicians in the world. You can tell from her dialogue that she doesn't believe him, and even flaunts her own vocal prowess since she herself is a singer. Also she's incredibly rude to him and then they rap battle to see who is a better vocalist. Song 2: So boyfriend's change of expression halfway into song 1 is explained here, where Boyfriend is pretty annoyed that she kept butting in when it's supposed to be his turn (kinda following the flow of an actual rap battle) and Smol taunts him following the next song saying that if he's so pissed, he should try harder. Song 3: Boyfriend tried harder and even with Smol losing the rap battles twice now, she pulls out the "it doesn't matter" card and manages to make Boyfriend speak proper English cause he was getting tired of her sh-. Before the third song starts, Smol explains that her ex taught her this one little trick before they broke up (which 80% of the comments already pointed out as to who it is) and proclaims that he'll never make it big, much less make it out of this building.
