literally just watched the episode of Pretty Guardian where Rei sings this song and I find it to be absolutely enchanting! Keiko nails this song perfectly and she is truly a beautiful actress and played her part well in the series Thank you Ms. Kitagawa for this beautiful song JLC
Keiko Kitagawa is such a good singer, she was also perfect as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars in the live action series. Not that Michie Tomizawa and Rina Sato were bad of portrayals of Mars, though. All three actresses had their own take on the character.
The only member of the cast that I know of that made it to an American feature film (Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), and even then she didn’t get much screen time. She deserved better.
the girls looked really different when they transform in the live action, but in the anime, they looked quite the same and yet the enemy does not know it's them.....
Well being a Shinto Miko they don't exactly believe in a god in the western concept. The Kami are more personifications of nature and natural forces. As a Miko friend of mine once put it "Kami are anything in nature that inspired awe and or fear. A beautiful sun set, a lightening storm etc"
@@sailorecume We know but they just said that Keiko kinda sounds like Sailor Mars's seiyuu in Crystal and to be honest she kinda does sound like her. 😊
I know this comment is nine years old, but I just want to chime in with an agreement. Jupiter was my favorite fictional character for a looong time, but I genuinely think Rei got the best songs. It's deserved; she's an amazing character.
my first taste of sailormoon was the english dubbed(i vaguely remember the locally dubbed version in our country because i was so young back then), i felt like something is wrong with my fave rei, but when i watch the live action then read the manga, i found the cooler rei. Hopefully the remake will follow the live action and manga rei.
Super old comment, but do keep in mind that this is a different universe, unless you know of magical powered people who fight monsters and have the power to alter destiny. I haven't seen any proof of that in the world i'm living in. So it's really pointless to get in any kind of fuss about what is said, maybe in that universe they have proven there is no god, maybe they haven't? maybe she feels there isn't after everything that happened. maybe it's metaphorical, maybe, it's a show and it doesn't matter beyond telling a story in a show in a mythical universe that looks similar to our own.
***** Just thought you might like to know that this show, Sailor Moon, is about the closest thing to the truth, that you will ever find in a show, or just about anywhere. Rarely will you see the moon actually impact the earth. That is the true story of the earth, except the true ending, is not a happy one.
