Probably the ONLY last boss ever to wait inside a chest.

First time i opened that chest: "OH SHIT!!! That's not a trimate, that's Dark Force!!!"

Now this is fight music. You know the enemy means business with this music.

A shame this game was so rushed when it first came out. If they had time this could have been a masterpiece.

Dark Phallus has to be the coolest boss in any RPG!

I still think Dark Force and this music are the best boss/music combo in gaming history.

The Dark Force song is a final boss music masterpiece.

Note to everyone encountering Dark Force: Get rid of the left hand first It may have only 300 HP but it knows Gires, which can restore its own HP real quick if your damage output isn't high enough (198 at the max, which is 66% of its HP). Best way to do this is with Wren and his Nei-Shot, which deals about 240 damage per hit. Hella useful.

Man, if there was anything good about this game (I really like this game in ways), it was the music.

WOW!... I get a strong godly vibe from this theme. I played through PS4 and the Dark Force music in that one is simply amazing, the King of Terror indeed. The final boss theme is the very definition of action packed music for a sci-fi phantasy type of game. Now I need to hear the Dark Force theme in PS2(using the initials for this game series is quite strange for me, PlayStation was a thing before PlayStation was EVEN a thing, initially speaking lol)!

This is a really epic final boss theme. Perfectly illustrates the feeling of, “You have no chance, you’re going to die”. Though not as good as both of PSIV’s final boss themes, this is definitely better than both PSI and PSII’s final boss themes.

This whole wind up motif should have been present in more of the game's theming and atmosphere, it only ever rears its head in the battle tracks (except for balance?) and in the menu ui. It's a shame, bc the more medieval feeling setting could have driven it forward, the kind of cogs and gears that turn for generations. Idk, writing a video essay in a comment section is kinda bad form anyway, lmao.

Right. I've had to fight you three times already, big guy. Thanks to the genesis collection's save state capabilities, getting to the end of all 4 routes had a lot less replaying than it did way back when. At least, so I assume. That said, I'm gonna take you down one last time and put this game to bed for good! It's just you standing between me and getting to play what people consider the best Phantasy Star! I wanna figure out why that is for myself! SO BRING IT ON!

Phantasy star 3 is lame compared with the other games of the saga, but this final boss with this ost was epic. Probably, the only thing that remains being epic and glorious even if you compare it with the others.

The soundtrack for this game is so good how did they manage to make it worse than the previous ones? The only things I find good on this game is the music and the multiple endings

Dark Force is a joke. Destroy the hand that casts Gires, have a healer spam Gires, and you can't lose. An underwhelming boss battle to end a crappy game. And the third generation always ends with a Dark Force fight. That removes any aspect of individuality from the "generations", because you basically end up with the same shit.
