This is the best theory of the timeline that i have seen so far. Im also bias though, it felt to me that pso was way far into the future after the events of the first series. Thanks for the much needed context

Nice video. I really thought pso was just after ps2. I really like the idea that the same humans that created the AI in pso2 the same ones that killed the heroes, are the ones who took all the efforts to create a new feature trying to learn from the mistakes they made in their experiments. That would make some sense of why suddenly apprared in pso a brand new sociopolitical environment where newmans and human’s coexists. They used the knowledge. But I didn’t check pso zero so I may be wrong. Your hypothesis may make some sense… but we need more, please don’t forget about us.

I enjoy watching this. I want to know some back story to the original Phantasy Star because I play Phantasy Star Online. Thats where I started playing the series from. I never played the Genesis games

Just improve on your audio/the accustics in your room a bit, there seem to be some constant demonic interference in the background (audio filter gone mad?); also maybe get a better mic, or check your audio mixing. Sega have officially said that the Online sub-series was a separate timeline from the Classic (like how Universe is its own thing like Online 2) but I want to believe that they were always meant to be connected since there are many references in the art book and items. They just did that to not make the newcomers lost about the lore since it was a sort of reboot after a 7-8 years hiatus for the franchise... Yet PSU was also meant to serve both as a new reboot and a sequel to both Online and the Classic sagas with the 3 planets system and a similar combat system. Sega's biggest crime was to name PSO2 as such despite having 0 connections to the original Online games (besides some enemies and items).

I wanted someone to teach me how to play Phantasy Star Zero... Anyone?
