Best game of my teenage years played it for 2 years straight in school met some amazing people who I wish I kept in touch with did keep in touch with the guy I spent over 1000+ hours playing with on there.
I kept in touch with a few people, have them on facebook. Met them in 2006 :) I miss this game so much. Too bad it died out, mainly due to the lack of updates, always being behind in the American severs compared to asia.
@@XxShawnXx1 Well, you're in luck considering 90% of Phantasy Star Online 2 has been patched in English. Complete with Ship 02 being the server mostly full of english speaking players. I'd say for a phantasy star game, it's doing real well.
+Hydrothe1 PSU Clementine has a private server that you can start playing right now. It's not completely finished but it's a work in progress. So far there is: leveling, partner cards, groups, clothing, parts, cosmetics, etc. The only thing I'm seeing wrong with it is there is no PA leveling yet. There is quite a bunch of bugs with the game but its playable.

I'm so fucking sad that there are no more games like this, I'm sad that I missed this era, I couldn't play PSU, I still have goosebumps from this song and this game, awesome (i was born in 2006)
hey man, private servers! the original experience was awesome (I was playing the 360 demo back in 06, no way in hell I was subscribing monthly). While the game is fun, it's playing it with others which made this such a nostalgic experience. So if you want to make your own memories, go to a private server and make some friends! It might not be the original experience, but it will be yours, and that's still special.
There totally should've been an anime of PSU with this as the opening and having the first season be based on the first game and be dubbed by ADV Films in an alternative reality.
I really hope PSO2 New Genesis can re-capture some of that magic that made PSU such a memorable experience for so many people. My college days were such a blast playing this with friends.~
I loved PSU - it was like living in an animé show. Shame it was taken offline so soon :) Although I had quite an unhealthy affection, being such a drama queen and all, maybe for the better that I got back to living my real life.. Still a good time and memories - thanks to everyone who may have played with me.
Hearing the song fills me with nostalgic love and depression. Love because...well, It's PSU! nuff said. and Depression cause the servers got shut down...but what physically made it hurt was seeing this video, clips of the main story that i enjoyed, and seeing those Players fighting next to one another, trying their best to protect our world! and that brought back a tsunami of emotions, teenage nostalgic love for the game, the friends i made, the Thousands of hours i spent on it...only to see it witter and die....those final 10 mins when the server was shutting down was by far the hardest thing i had to go through up to date...i remember my first experiance with the game, i didn't go into the story, i jumped into the online section (for some reason) and i got qued up with someone like 30-50 levels higher than me, while i was struggling with the enemies slightly above me, he was plowing through em left and right and let me take all the loot, at the end, he gave me sooooooooo much money that i could use to buy better gear as i got stronger, then he took me to a boss fight which was leagues above my level, but he basically one shotted it, which gave my a whole heep of exp and levels, then he had to go, some friends were waiting for him. Idk where he is now, but whereever you are my man, thank you for showing me great first time to this amazingly wonderful game, may it Rest in Peace... Yes i know they are working on getting PSO2 to NA, making it open to basically everyone...but it's not PSU, PSU is Special, PSO is not PSU...PSU needs a remaster, it needs to be saved once again!
I had no Internet for 3 weeks early June. This game was lying around and I had never played it. I played it and I loved it, but then it said that the story continues online. I don't know how to play that part of the story that's apparently exclusive to the online mode in 2020.
so much nostalgia, the best thing i like about it was, it felt like watching an anime, having the intro every chapter, an intro and an outro to each part. was pretty sweet
One thing bad about the opening is that when Magashi showed up, if his appearance didn't tip you off, the opening will definitely make you think that he's the bad guy... even though he only shows up once or twice and is suddenly there at the end... Then again I haven't played PSU's story in years, so I might be a bit fuzzy on the details. The lyrics from both openings are burned into my cerebellum and I don't regret a thing. PSU online had some lulls between the grinding, but it was the best MMO experience I've ever had, period. All the friends I made and good times I had, makes me really miss it, wish there was a remake of sorts, and that PSO2 stopped taking its sweet time and get over to the west already.
He shows up and says he's basically going to order a scorched earth type of deal to eliminate the seed but after some persuading he allows the main cast to risk their lives to get the people to safety before the plan is ready to be launched, essentially saying hey if you want to be burnt bones go on ahead and try to save everyone. after that you meet him at his first boss fight where he drops some heavy knowledge on you with his "i'm god and you're piss worms" kinda bad guy dialogue
there's a mistake in the lyrics, at 1:26 approx, the words say "So many tears and so much for nothing", she's actually singing "So many tears, its so not for nothing"
First thing first, if you wanna get the full thing, go get a credit card, because there is a 15$ A month subscription fee, secondly, if you don't like the song, why are you listening? Other people have their own opinion, so just leave it alone if you don't like it.
It makes me laugh that I found this song and liked it a bit. Later, I found the game and got it and it started playing this song after I got it going and I thought "Wait a sec!!" It just made me feel all warm and fuzzy XD;;
when i played 1 year back i learned that the online game had closed later i got phantasy star AOTI But the story was incomplete still even after i finished the game then i searched for something to see the continue but i learned that the story continued in the online story mode. PLZ BRING BACK THE SERVERS SEGAA I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT T-T
I'm not sure about other systems, but I know about the PS2 versions. Illuminus is sort of like dot hack: you can start play without having even heard of the origenal game, yet you can copy the characters you made in the free mode of the first to play the campaign of Illuminus.
Then you are planning on fighting for everyone wrong..., in reality to successfully fight for everyone, to aid the world one must fight with the support and help of their friends and loved ones. This does not mean going it alone, or being the Big Damn Hero. It means finding a means to help the world that you care for... be it on the front line or the sideline fight for those you love and the world you want to protect
@Justsmoke42O from what i heard after ps2/pc fell the 360 started to get majorly banned and harshed on. i wonder how the games doing. never felt like going out and getting a 360/downloading the private sever
You used to be able to get a CD of like 13 songs[?] when you pre-ordered PSU. I did, and I got the CD.. This is one of my favourite songs ^^' sure it's corny but it's also amazing. If anyone wants it I can probably send it to them >_>
Listen to the lyrics. There's all the proof you need. Unless you mean about the game having nothing to do with global warming, in which case, play the game.
@imvu0 we battle for tommarow it is a battle against time it will take two miricals to take my head we need to save this world it was a hard time oh never mind this sint the whole song
