First day with the new Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter Drone and Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. The Nexus 7 (2013) works great with this thing as FPV monitor. The Phone holder on the remote control would have to be modified to hold the Nexus 7
May 25th 2014: I have had this quad copter for a couple months now and do not recommend purchasing it if you live in an area with high magnetic declination. It seems to affect the flying characteristics of mine quite severely. I believe DJI has some work to do on the firmware or hardware to mitigate this problem.

Thank you thank you! The range is about 1000 ft I believe but that would be out of sight,,, I'm not comfortable enough with that yet. It was about 400 ft away in this video at an altitude of 250 ft. think

Thanks it is an awesome piece of technology. I'll make a bit of a review and a closeup. I'm a bit lazy whit the whole video recording thing these days.. or rather the editing part. Thanks for taking a look!

I have not done a review yet because there are some issues with this machine. Many owners are complaining that it does not operate as advertised in areas of high magnetic declination. Seems I have this issue here where I live and notice the effects. I don't recommend purchasing one of these if you are in an area where the magnetic declination is greater than + or -10 or so

I don't have this unit anymore. all I can say is make sure you have all the latest software. I have a Phantom 3 Pro now and it all probably different

Hi How did you connect your nexus 7. I have a nexus 7 and am looking to get a Phantom 2 with my go pro - as a newbie just wondered how it would all link up...

I have the Phantom 2 Vision which has its own camera (not GoPro). It is all set up to connect using WIFI. All you do is install the vision app on the Nexus, Then connect to visions built in WiFi extender with WIFI and tap the camera button in the app and away you go. Setting a Phantom 2 up with a GoPro is much more complicated I believe

***** many thanks for getting back so quickly - i thought that might be the case - I've decided against the vision as I already have a go pro and also want the zenmuse 2 axis gimbal with it. Lots of info online so think I'll be ok - but looks like i won't be able to use my old nexus.
