An all-female band called Phantom Blue plays a hit song of theirs called "Time to Run". R.I.P. to guitarist Michelle Meldrum.
Phantom Blue was an all-female American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, United States, formed in 1987. Phantom Blue were the first and only female artists to be signed to Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records, only three months after forming.

Sadly guitarist Michelle Meldrum passed shortly after her band Meldrum released it's second album, many years ago.

Lead guitarist Michelle Meldrum were married to John Norum from Europe until her death in 2008. Age 39. She had a cystic growth in her brain. Fell into a coma and died 3 days later. There were a restricted oxygen and blood flow to the brain which rendered her brain dead. RIP.

Definitely the best song on their second album. Overall, I prefered their debut album, also because of the shredding solos. Who knows what might have happened if Grunge hadn't interfered in the early nineties. Way back then I wouldn't have expected that one day I would discover an all-female metal band from Japan which not only surpassed any of their female precursors, but also the male ones: Lovebites.

The first time I saw this video I saw in the comments from a son that said that was my mom playing rhythm guitar and she still can shred I thought that was the greatest compliment to a mom in the history of mankind

Don't know if you reacted to female thrash band Meanstreak?. They only released one album called Roadkill. You should give it a try. Two other great female bands were swedish group Ice Age and german band Rosy Vista

Here’s a little trivia for ya! Ritchie Kotzen was recording his first CD for Shrapnel Records with Jason Becker at Prairie Sun Studios while we were also there recording our first CD in the next studio with Marty Friedman.
